14:18 Windsor - The Hardest Geezer @ 2/1

The lightly-raced THE HARDEST GEEZER has the benefit of a run and can make his race-fitness count in the 2m handicap hurdle at Windsor.

The six-year-old built on the promise he’d shown in a pair of novices behind a couple of useful rivals at Chepstow and Huntingdon when getting off the mark at Taunton in January and he shaped well on his return at Newton Abbot last month.

He may have given the winner, who was third behind Constitution Hill in the Grade 2 International Hurdle at Cheltenham in January, more to think about if he hadn’t made mistakes over two of the last three hurdles and he looks well treated off just 1lb higher.

14:45 Cork - O’Toole @ 7/1

At one point O'TOOLE was touted as the best horses in Stuart Crawford’s yard, but he’s clearly had his problems as we haven’t seen a lot of him since he split Kilcruit and Sir Gerhard in a Grade 1 bumper in April 2021.

It always looked like chasing would be the making of him and he took well to fences in 2023, comfortably winning a handicap chase at Newcastle and finishing second in the Grade 2 Towton before not being seen for almost two years.

He returned from that mammoth absence with success in a staying handicap hurdle at Ayr in January, taking his form figures after breaks of 242 days or more to 111.

The nine-year-old has been off the track since, but he clearly goes well fresh and could have lots more to come after just two starts over fences, especially off a mark 3lb lower than when making a winning chasing debut.

15:00 Punchestown - Fact To File @ 6/5

A progressive novice season that culminated in a comfortable victory in the Brown Advisory Novices’ Chase in March 2024 had connections thinking FACT TO FILE could be the one to stop the mighty Galopin Des Champs in the Cheltenham Gold Cup last season.

A first clash with that rival in the John Durkan Memorial Chase saw Fact To File come out on top, beating another second-season chaser (Spillane’s Tower) with Galopin Des Champs back in third, propelling him to favouritism for the Gold Cup in March.

Fact To File was soon humbled by the dual Gold Cup winner when returned to three miles, chasing him home in the Savills Chase and Irish Gold Cup, which prompted connections to switch festival destinations and target the Ryanair, which proved an inspired decision.

Sent off at 6-4, he couldn't have looked more impressive, readily pulling nine lengths clear from a good field that featured the previous year’s one-two and King George runner-up Il Est Francais.

He recorded a top-class Racing Post Rating of 177 - a figure only bettered in the Ryanair by Allaho (179, twice) in the last decade - and won in a time 4.54 seconds quicker than the Grade 2 novice chase won by Caldwell Potter, who subsequently won a Grade 1.

There is little doubt that two and a half miles is his best trip at this point in time and he can see off stablemate Gaelic Warrior to seal back-to-back victories in this contest.

15:46 Exeter - Harry Junior @ 13/8

The testing nature of Exeter's track should play into the strengths of HARRY JUNIOR, who is taking a slight drop in trip.

He built on a promising handicap debut second over two and a half miles at Worcester last month when making all over three furlongs further at Lingfield 12 days ago, settling much better than he had previously.

He saw out the longest trip he’s faced well, sealing his victory with a good jump at the last, and likely has more to come as a stayer.

He's improved massively since being upped in trip and fitted with a tongue-tie and this furlong-and-a-half shorter trip is unlikely to be an issue. He can defy a 6lb rise.

The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £208.30 for your total £7.50 stake.
