Lucky 15 Tips: Little trip to Chester? Be Roodee not to

A sensational Saturday, frankly, with great racing, tip-top tracks, and sunny blue skies forecast. We've got York, Newmarket and Ascot featuring brightly in our ITV races piece, so let's head to Chester, for our Lucky 15 tips. You know it makes sense ...
Lucky 15 tips - Saturday 11 July 2026
- 13:35 Chester - Dream Vega @ 7/4
- 14:10 Chester - Secret Mistral @ 4/1
- 14:45 Chester - Percy's Lad @ 9/2
- 15:18 Chester - Knight's Gold @ 5/1
*odds correct at time of publication
13:35 Chester - Dream Vega @ 7/4
Ed Walker-trained three-year-old that ran so well at Donny 27 days ago, and surely has a maiden of this kind at her mercy. Dream Vega is a daughter of Lope De Vega and Ashley Lewis claims a handy 5lb.
Drawn nicely in the two box, and 7f is the trip.
14:10 Chester - Secret Mistral @ 4/1
Experienced, consistent six-year-old mare who went close at Nottingham three weeks ago. Secret Mistral is out again pretty smartly up just a pound from last time and once again Myla Coppins claims 7lb.
Tony Carroll trains, and she's won six of her 39 starts (placed 13 times, too). Decent draw (2) for this 5f dash.
14:45 Chester - Percy's Lad @ 9/2
Ed Greatrex is on board this grand eight-year-old Sir Percy gelding - can the son of an Epsom Derby winner prevail over this 7.5f trip, drawn 4?
Percy's Lad has six wins from 32 starts and ran a corker at Kempton last time at slightly further. That was just 12 days ago and connections look to strike while he's in good heart.
Dan & Claire Kubler train, in Lambourn, and the horse is a course-and-distance scorer.
15:18 Chester - Knight's Gold @ 5/1
A second division of the previous contest, same trip of course, and we're siding with Knight's Gold, a four-year-old Dark Angel gelding who again has been successful here in the past - so handy at such a quirky venue.
Jack Doughty rides, for Dr Newland and Mr Insole, and he runs off the same mark (80) as when beaten 2.25l at Yarmouth last time in this grade. Drawn 3 - not bad at all, but does tend to be ridden for a late run.
Nine are due to start - lets hope Jack can plot a winning course at the death.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £510 for a £7.50 total stake. If you can improve upon our selections (of course you can) - then go for it!
