Lucky 15 Tips: Jet Plane to land Warwick win for Skelton

There are five meetings spread across Friday for fans of British and Irish racing to look forward to, with jumps fare from Doncaster and Warwick joined in the afternoon by Wolverhampton's all-weather card before the evening action stems from Dundalk and Southwell.

Below are my Lucky 15 selections for Friday's action, including one turning his attention to the hunters' chase sphere for Dan Skelton at his local track in Warwick.

14:05 Warwick - Jour D'Evasion @ 11/8

The Henry Daly-trained JOUR D'EVASION is 2-3 over fences and looks set for more progress in this Novices' Limited Handicap Chase over the two-miles.

He was fourth on debut over these obstacles at Aintree in November in what has proved a hot race, with the winner now rated 146 and four other subsequent scorers emerging from that contest.

Jour D'Evasion is amongst them, having triumphed at Bangor (2m1½f, heavy) and Chepstow (2m, good to soft) since.

He had lots in hand at Chepstow over Christmas and is fancied to maintain his winning streak despite a 10lb hike in the ratings to 132.

16:18 Warwick – Jet Plane @ 4/5

Dan Skelton's charge towards the trainers' championship in Britain shows no signs of stopping and he will be hoping to be amongst the winners at Cheltenham's Festival Trials Day on Saturday.

Before that, he's bound for his local track Warwick on Friday with JET PLANE, the 10-year-old now set to turn his attention to a new sphere in the Willoughby De Broke Open Hunters' Chase.

He went off favourite for the Grand Sefton at Aintree in November, running a sound race in seventh, before winning a Class 3 Leicester handicap chase in December and then beginning this month with a close second in a Veterans' Handicap Chase at Sandown where he was headed very late in the piece.

He has won over further than this three-mile trip and can give promising rider Heidi Palin a second winner from as many mounts since the turn of the year.

16:30 Dundalk – Aingeal Dorcha @ 6/1

AINGEAL DORCHA travelled very smoothly into the straight over course and distance 10 days ago, but Andy Slattery's charge was only good enough in the end to finish third as Limestone Lad and Mythical Rock went by.

He drops into claiming company now and once more has Adam Browne-Souza taking off a handy 7lb in the saddle, giving them decent hopes of going a couple of spots better.

19:30 Dundalk – Sectarius @ 11/1

It might be worth chancing stable debutant SECTARIUS on his first Dundalk outing for Henry de Bromhead in the Dundalk Winter Series Leading Trainer & Jockey Championship Handicap over a mile-and-a-half.

The Ribchester gelding was an all-weather handicap winner at Newcastle for Ed Bethell in October 2024 off a mark of 68 when returning from a break, and went close from 5lb higher back at Gosforth Park next time.

He had three turf runs in 2025 after moving to Tim Easterby, failing to shine, and is now with De Bromhead. He's back from a break and appears on a fair handicap mark for this Polytrack bow.
