Lucky 15 Tips: Red-hot Oisin in line for more success

Still buzzing from a wonderful Betfred St Leger meeting, where it's fair to say we had a great time on the tipping front. Red-hot even, with some cracking winners along the way.

That's the Classic scene wrapped up for another year, and with the weather decidedly inclement it really does begin to set the scene for the delights of the jumping season, as the ground softens and the big yards slowly get their troops mobilised. In the meantime, how about a NINE-race card at Wolverhampton on their Tapeta surface? Too right ... so here's our Lucky 15 Tips then for Tuesday, with the meeting kicking off at 16:25.

16:25 - Nanny Park @ 11/10

There was no escaping the fact that Oisin Murphy was in sensational form at Donny last week. He rode seven winners during the meeting and we were 'on' several of them!

I take no persuading then to tip him here up on James Fanshawe's' three-year-old Golden Horn filly Nanny Park. She's got one win from nine career starts and in this seller has probably the gelding Good Banter to worry about most.

She's getting a very useful 9lb from that rival and has the valuable assistance in the plate of Murphy, sauntering along at a strike-rate of around 35%. Outstanding.

She's got one or two pieces of form that put her right in the forefront of this and though arguably not terribly ruthless at the business end often enough, could have plenty going for her in this company.

She's had several respectable all-weather spins and been engaged recently at tracks of the calibre of Goodwood and Newmarket - but can she do it on a cool, wet and breezy Tuesday night (potentially) at Wolverhampton? Fingers firmly crossed.

16:55 - Iconic Dawn @ 15/2

Hollie Doyle teams up with Hughie Morrison and rides his two-year-old Twilight Son filly in this 6f novice.

Iconic Dawn has had just two starts to date; never really sighted on debut at Newbury, but then a pleasing third in a Lingfield maiden on the sand 13 days ago - with Doyle ironically riding the winner.

She's nicely drawn in the two box and in an open-looking contest appeals definitely as one of the more likely winners, with improvement surely to come.

18:00 - Shamacid @ 13/8

A 6f novice stakes test for three-year-olds and upwards.

Our selection Shamacid is a three-year-old Shaman colt trained by Sean Woods at Newmarket and ridden once again by Hollie Doyle. He's had three runs to date, showing a decent level of form the last twice on the all-weather.

Eighteen days ago at Newcastle (another Tapeta surface) he was 1.25l adrift of the winner and it was a couple of lengths back to the third. The fifth home in the race has taken one of these contests subsequently at Musselburgh so the form's had a timely boost.

Drawn mid-pack in four, so can plot a suitable course as required.

20:00 - Harryella @ 6/4

I saw this one absolutely bolt up at Lingfield the other day under today's pilot Oisin Murphy, and I'm not surprised he's out again swiftly chasing more prize-money.

Harryella is a three-year-old gelding by Postponed, and trained by James Fanshawe at HQ. He is penalised 6lb for that cosy recent success and tackles a furlong-and-a-half further, which should pose no problems.

I thought if anything he came a little soon at Lingers and idled slightly late on but he was going so well it didn't matter. Over this extended trip Oisin can perhaps make use of the fact that he travels supremely well, hold him up, and come with a telling late rattle.

However you look at it the horse is in career-high order and I don't think the 6lb is going to be anywhere near enough to anchor him.

Nap of the night.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!

The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £186 for your total £7.50 stake.
