Lucky 15 Tips: Macktoad a star in the making for the Moore’s

The festive feast of racing moves on from Boxing Day's bonanza to a more sedate Saturday with six meetings across Britain and Ireland.

We've picked out a Saturday Lucky 15 selection for the latest round of Christmas racing action.

13:20 Kempton – Star Walking @ 9/2
An extended three miles is the trip for this Mares' Handicap Hurdle on the Kempton card and it can go the way of STAR WALKING for the Harry Fry team with former champion jockey Harry Cobden on board.
A Wincanton novice winner last season at 2m5½f (soft) she returned from 220 days off having undergone a wind op to finish second at Ascot last month over just shy of three miles.
She gave that race a good run but couldn't hold off the progressive Rockola Vogue as she completed a double.
Star Walking has gone up 4lb for finishing second but she remains unexposed at this trip.
13:27 Limerick – The Big Westerner @ 5/6
Henry de Bromhead's mare THE BIG WESTERNER was only denied by a gelding with Grade 1 aspirations in Jimmy Du Seuil on her fencing bow at Fairyhouse last month.
She gave him a good race and their pair were miles clear of next-time-out Fairyhouse winner Jacob's Ladder in third.
Second in the Albert Bartlett over 3m at Cheltenham last season, staying trips clearly suit this mare and she looks hard to oppose in the Grade 2 Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase over 2m6½f back against her own sex now.
13:40 Chepstow – Macktoad @ 1/1
Gary & Josh Moore have every reason to be excited about MACKTOAD after their once-raced French bumper winner made a perfect start to his hurdling career at Sandown three weeks ago.
Now he will attempt to replicate stablemate Salver's 2023 success in the Finale Juvenile Hurdle at Chepstow.
The Sandown contest Macktoad won was the same contest Goshen won as a young horse and there is plenty of reason to believe they have a contender now to try and atone for that one's heartache in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
He looked well above the ordinary on that first day out and, with improvement likely, can take this step up the ladder in his stride.
13:47 Leopardstown – Love Me Tender @ 9/2
The Grade 1 Future Champions Novice Hurdle has attracted a quality field of eight runners, with both Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott doubly represented.
Mullins has Le Divin Enfant (Paul Townend) and LOVE ME TENDER (Mark Walsh), while Elliott goes with Skylight Hustle (Jack Kennedy) and Koktail Brut (Danny Gilligan) after the drama of seeing El Cairos come down with a prize at his mercy on day one at Leopardstown on Friday.
All four merit consideration but the unbeaten JP McManus-runner Love Me Tender looks great value at the prices.
He has scored with any amount in hand at Kilbeggan and Tipperary, latterly in a Grade 3 heat, to add to his bumper win at Tramore. It's hard to place a ceiling on how good he can be in this division this season.
