Lucky15 Tips: Canyouhearthedrums to bang out Goodwood win

Just three meetings make up Sunday's quota across Britain and Ireland, with jumps cards from Perth and Punchestown joining the post-Derby Flat card at Goodwood.

Here are my Lucky 15 tips for Sunday's action, with picks from across the cards.

14:12 Perth – Cage Rattler @ 10/1

This is a Novices' Limited Handicap Hurdle, in which CAGE RATTLER looks a solid prospect for the Sandra Forster team.

He's 0-7 over hurdles so far but has shown good application in runs at Newcastle and Hexham since March.

He was third over 2m (good) at the northern circuit last month, closing late under a typically patient ride.

Conor O'Farrell's partner should be well suited if they go a decent clip here and can arrive with a late challenge.

15:00 Goodwood – Canyouhearthedrums @ 7/4

Eve Johnson Houghton could land this sprint contest with the lightly raced CANYOUHEARTHEDRUMS.

The Lope Y Fernandez filly started her career in promising fashion when second in a novice event over this trip at Beverley in April.

She was well touted for that outing and found just one too strong, with the Rod Millman-trained winner Anthelia going on to score at Salisbury and Sandown in two runs since, most recently in Listed company via the National Stakes.

Canyouhearthedrums has run well in defeat in Class 2 maidens at Ascot and Windsor over 5f/6f in May and takes a drop in class now.

16:20 Punchestown – Stay Gold @ 7/2

A field of 18 are declared for the Madison Flooring Supporting Kilmacud Crokes Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown over just shy of three miles and it can go to the steadily progressive STAY GOLD for Colm Murphy.

He had some good efforts in maiden company at this venue last season, including finishing fourth over 2m3½f (heavy) in February under this rider in first-time cheekpieces.

They were back at the course in April for an €18k handicap over the same trip at the festival and finished an excellent third in a 25-runner field.

A 2lb nudge is fair, especially with Liam McKenna now claiming his 5lb, and the step up to this trip for the first time in a handicap should bring more progress.

16:32 Perth – Hardy Diamond @ 11/2

Gordon Elliott often targets Perth and the Cullentra handler has HARDY DIAMOND in the mix this afternoon in the three-mile handicap chase.

The mare won a maiden over hurdles last summer and returned from a 188-day break to run her best race so far over fences in a beginners' chase at Kilbeggan (2m4½f, good) last month.

She made good late inroads after being held up and was clear of the third passing the post. The winner had twice before gone close over fences. An opening mark of 111 could be exploitable with champion jockey Sean Bowen booked to ride.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
