Lucky 15 Tips: July course action from Newmarket

Many eyes will be on Royal Ascot understandably, and I've previewed every race in my ITV piece.

Here's a welcome little diversion then - Lucky 15 tips, from Newmarket, on Saturday afternoon. Action starts at 14:03, and there are six races on the card.

Going the right way after just two starts, with a nice success at Yarmouth last time for trainer George Scott. Darragh Keenan takes over in the saddle and the two-year-old colt will try to defy his winner's penalty.

Son of a French Guineas winner, and connections should have some fun with him.

15:10 - Elarak @ 2/1

Three-year-old Shadwell colt by the mighty Kingman won a novice at Lingfield 23 days ago and therefore is another who must defy a winner's hike.

Very promising Racing Post Rating, and Pat Dobbs has been engaged for trainer Charlie Hills. Made his debut here, respectably, in October last.

15:45 - Circe @ 2/1

Four-year-old Kodiac filly from the Hannon yard must shoulder 10st 3lb, but she's dropping down into a Class 3 after a cracking effort at Epsom two weeks ago at a level higher.

In fine form of late generally with two wins - has it to do off 91 but Dobbs once again has the riding assignment and it could be a very good afternoon for him, fingers crossed.

16:25 - Curran @ 7/2

The Charlie Johnston yard are having plenty of winners right now, including here yesterday, and claimer Jack Callan has been engaged to negate a small rise for winning last time at Doncaster a fortnight ago at around this trip.

Curran is three-from-14 lifetime, and in such good heart with the yard flying can go in again.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
