Lucky 15 Tips: Donny Day 3 – when Leger dreams become reality

Impossible to contemplate going anywhere but Doncaster for our Lucky 15 tips this Saturday, September 13 - it's Betfred St Leger day!
The Festival is in full swing, and it's time to embrace its centrepiece - the world's oldest Classic. The action kicks in at 13:15. Who ya got?

13:15 - Treble Tee @ 9/4
Oisin Murphy rides for the Crisfords - and this three-year-old Persian King gelding is due a win after finishing close-up in second the last twice.
Being gelded and having a wind op have been the making of Treble Tee, and his prospects here are undeniable. Has some useful soft ground form if there's still a bit of juice in the ground, and for me is clearly the one they've all got to beat.
13:50 - Oxagon @ 13/8
In-form Murphy once again, this time on a Gosden runner who has the equine world potentially at his feet.
Oxagon is by Frankel out of a Dubawi mare and on the two-year-old's second start he disappeared into the ether at Sandown, putting 8l between himself and his nearest pursuers.
He's in all the big 7/8f juvenile contests and though we already know he's smart he could be very talented. Mouth-watering prospect.
15:00 - Marvelman @ 6/1
This is no time to desert Oisin, and I'm not going to. He steps up here to ride Andrew Balding's Marvelman, who ran the outstanding More Thunder to 2.5l at Newbury four weeks ago.
That rival is now rated 117, and though the three-year-old Invincible Spirit colt has a bit to find on official figures, last time was a mighty personal best and that upward curve can continue this afternoon.
15:40 - Carmers @ 9/2
Betfred St Leger time - and a selection I tipped up to win the Queen's Vase at the Royal meeting on only his third run.
Paddy Twomey's Carmers is reunited with the brilliant Billy Lee now he's back from injury. Colin Keane rode him last time at York in the Great Voltigeur over what's probably an inadequate 12f, and he still ran a blinder, beaten 1l by Dante hero Pride Of Arras.
This 1m 6f+ trip should be ideal, he surely has more improvement to come on what will only be his fifth lifetime start, and most of his rivals have been both a wee bit busier and now slightly easier to pigeon-hole, ability-wise.
Carmers and Stay True are the slight 'dark' horses in terms of untapped potential in my book, and I expect them to fight out the finish.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £400 for your total £7.50 stake.
