Lucky 15 Tips: Four tips to follow across Britain on Monday

We have five meetings across Britain and Ireland on the schedule for Monday, which gives us plenty to ponder and there’s a little of something for everyone to enjoy.

Britain’s four meetings are provided by Brighton and Southwell in the afternoon and the evening entertainment is brought to us from Windsor and Pontefract.

We’ve had a good look at all four cards and picked out our strongest selections from each. These include a Tony Carroll-trained runner at Windsor and a lightly raced maiden that can get off the mark at Brighton.

Brighton 16:02 - Noble Guest @ 4/1

George Margarson has had two winners from his eight runners in the last fortnight, which gives him a decent strike-rate of 25 per cent.

The Newmarket trainer runs NOBLE GUEST here and the three-year-old is very interesting now trying a mile for the first time here.

Still a maiden after nine starts, it was a much better effort when runner-up over an extended 7f at Lingfield recently. He didn’t quite have the pace to challenge so perhaps the extra half-a-furlong will suit this gelding.

It’s noted that the handicapper has left his mark alone and this looks like a good opportunity to get off the mark, with David Egan booked to take the ride.

Southwell 17:20 - Always Busy @ 13/8 

Christian Williams’ ALWAYS BUSY isn’t always the most consistent of horses and he has a sketchy completion record this calendar year.

That being said, he’s very difficult to oppose off the back of a very impressive victory over course and distance when last seen.

Patient tactics were employed and he was held up in last during the early stages of the race. He was a little outpaced approaching the fourth-last, but rallied soon after, before picking off his rivals and going on to score by a very cosy margin of seven lengths.

A 7lb rise will obviously make life harder, but the seven-year-old remains lightly raced over fences and it would be no surprise if there was more improvement in the tank.

Windsor 17:30 - HK Fourteen @ 11/4

Tony Carroll is flying along this season and has already amassed a total of 59 winners in 2025. He runs HK FOURTEEN here and the five-year-old could be set for a return to winning ways.

The son of Starspangledbanner pulled off a hat-trick of handicap wins in the autumn, first winning on turf at Bath, before scoring twice at Newcastle after that.

Third over course and distance on seasonal debut, it was a fair effort from this gelding and he was less than two lengths behind the winner.

The handicapper has dropped him 1lb since, which can only help his cause, and he’s entitled to improve for the run.

Pontefract 20:20 - Willolarupi @ 9/2

Three-time winner WILLOLARUPI could be the one to side with here, as Declan Carroll’s four-year-old returned to winning ways upon returning to this trip at Redcar last month.

A 5lb rise looks harsh enough for that success but there could be more to come.

Keeping on well to get the better of Sugar Baby by three-quarters-of-a-length that day, he got off to a slow start and hung to his left in the closing stages but managed to come out on top nonetheless.

He deserves another chance here and this is a good opportunity to follow up.
