Lucky 15 Tips: Bocelli can go close at his favourite track

We have four meetings to look forward to on Monday and all four are Flat fixtures. The action may not be of the greatest quality but it is thoroughly competitive. It’s going to be a cracking afternoon and Carlisle is the first meeting to get underway, whilst Brighton continues the action. Roscommon is Ireland’s sole offering and their evening card is joined by Windsor.

We’ve picked out four selections with strong claims on Monday and they can be combined to form a Lucky 15.

16:20 Brighton – Voix De Bocelli @ 4/1

Henrietta Knight is better known for her exploits as a National Hunt trainer but VOIX DE BOCELLI could provide her with a winner on the Flat here. All of his best performances have come at Brighton, which certainly bodes well.

He struggled over two furlongs further here last time out but that effort came in a higher grade and the return to Class 6 company combined with the shorter trip should be much more to his liking.

A short head away from earning a third course and distance victory on his penultimate start, he’s on a 2lb higher mark now but another big run is expected.

16:30 Windsor – Jungle Monarch @ 7/2

JUNGLE MONARCH went off too fast when fading into fifth on debut at Wolverhampton and he was entitled to learn from that experience. It was a much better display at Redcar next time and he went on to finish second by a length that day.

A step up in grade then followed at Musselburgh next time and he acquitted himself well, finishing third and beaten by less than a length. He battled on well after getting headed and perhaps the extra furlong can facilitate some improvement.

The handicapper has allotted him an opening mark of 76 which should be workable and there could be a significant amount of improvement to come now tackling handicaps.

17:00 Windsor – Lodge @ 13/8

This probably isn’t the deepest of novice events so Brian Meehan’s LODGE could be the one to side with, as she has already proven herself. The daughter of Churchill produced a very smart performance to win on debut at Ffos Las.

Pulling nicely clear to score by two-and-a-half lengths, she was prominent throughout and scored comfortably, despite showing signs of inexperience.

We can expect progress here on just her second start with that in mind and a 7lb penalty might not be enough to prevent the follow up.

Billy Loughnane was on board at Ffos Las so it’s a definite positive that the relationship is maintained here. Sapphire Princess looks like the main danger but Ollie Sangster’s filly has failed to win in four starts and Meehan’s two-year-old could be one to watch.

17:37 Carlisle – Jez Bomb @ 5/2

There are two standout candidates in this race and the hat-trick-seeking JEZ BOMB gets the nod, ahead of fellow last-time-out winner Sweet Kiss. It’s been a very good year so far for Jez Bomb and further success can’t be ruled out, having won three times already in 2025.

He overcame an awkward start to win by a narrow margin over a mile at Doncaster in July and went on to score again at Thirsk last time out. This son of Hunter’s Light could be saving a bit for himself and if that’s the case, he’ll still be ahead of the handicapper.

Another 3lb shouldn’t be too problematic and the stiff 1m1f won’t be an issue as the four-year-old has won over further in the past.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
