Kempton Park Tips: Track experience should help Al Ameen

There are seven UK and Irish race meetings taking place on Thursday and there is an eight-race card taking place at Kempton Park which catches my eye.
Read on to find out my Kempton Park Tips for Thursday, July 3.
Kempton Park Tips - Thursday, July 3

- 19:33 Kempton Park - Ballsgrove Boy @ 6/1
- 20:43 Kempton Park - Papabella @ 3/1

17:48 Kempton Park - Al Ameen @ 4/1
This Class 4 Handicap features a field of 11 runners over a 1m distance and there are several to consider when looking for a punt in this one. AL AMEEN is the one who I like the look of, mainly because he has plenty of experience at this racecourse.
Having won just two of his first 30 starts, he has triumphed in three of his last four - all at Kempton - since removing his headgear which is seemingly making a huge difference in his performance.
The six-year-old has risen up the weights as a result and while he is more accustomed for trips over six and seven furlongs, he should have the stamina for the mile and I think he will be in contention.

19:33 Kempton Park - Ballsgrove Boy @ 6/1
There are 10 runners set to contest this Class 5 handicap and I think BALLSGROVE BOY could be set for another strong outing at Kempton over 6f. He won here over the same distance back in May by a half-length in what was another big field, and his previous appearance here before that was a third-place finish out of nine back in February.
Steady progress has been made under trainer Martin Dunne, who took over from Matt Crawley earlier in the year. While the three-year-old was unable to follow his victory here at Lingfield in June, he still gave a good account of himself to finish third in a field of 10.
Conditions look favourable for him this time around and he looks set for another strong run out on Thursday. Jack Doughty is booked to ride him for the third consecutive race and this may also have an impact.
He's going to be more appealing than most in this one.

20:43 Kempton Park - Papabella @ 3/1
The final race of the card pits 12 runners against each other in this Class 5 handicap and there are a few worthy contenders to take note of. I think PAPABELLA will offer good value after her strong end to 2024 has given her momentum for this current campaign.
The five-year-old had a strong second-place finish here over the same distance back in April, losing out to Psychodrama by a short head, before more recently prevailing over the same trip at Chepstow to win by a half-length.
There's a 2lb rise to account for here but it shouldn't make too much of a difference. The going should suit her and another big run could be in store, even if there may be another dramatic finish.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
