Horse Racing Tips: Hundred Caps can blitz them at Beverley

There are three Flat cards in Britain on Tuesday and the meeting at Lingfield, which begins with three races on the all-weather before concluding with three on the turf, is where we have concentrated our attention.

16:30 Salisbury - Anzaniya @ 10/3

AZANIYA has a decent pedigree and one of her half-siblings was a Group 3 winner in France. There's also some stamina in there, with another relative winning over two miles.

She remains very lightly raced, having had just four starts, and is progressing nicely.

Burrows' filly could only manage sixth on debut but the winner is a smart filly, picking up victory in a decent Listed race subsequently. The penny dropped quite late on but she kept on well at a big price and there was plenty to like about that performance.

Kieran Shoemark left nothing to chance at Newmarket on seasonal debut and she absolutely bolted up in a Newmarket novice, making all the running. The daughter of Night Of Thunder followed up on her handicap debut at Windsor and the front two were clear of the rest that day.

This is obviously harder and the three-year-old will need to step forward again but her profile suggests there's more to come and it's hard to ignore the yard's current form.

17:15 Beverley - Hundred Caps @ 13/8

Betfred are offering three places in this race but you might not need them as HUNDRED CAPS looks well set to come out on top.

Julie Camacho’s three-year-old is already a course and distance winner this season and that certainly bodes well for his chances.

There’s a significant draw bias over 5f at Beverley and Hundred Caps has the prime real estate of stall one. His victory here in May also came from stall one and it’s noted that the gelding’s current mark is just 1lb higher now.

He has had wind surgery since we last saw him, where he finished fourth over 6f, and the return to the minimum trip will help.

Recent form suggests this could end up being a two-horse race and Hundred Caps gets the nod ahead of the inconveniently drawn The Feminine Urge.

19:15 Kempton - Son @ 11/1

This is a competitive 7f handicap and it would be unwise to rule out Richard Hannon’s SON, despite the fact that he hasn’t been in the best of form so far this season.

The handicapper has responded accordingly and the four-year-old is now on a very attractive mark.

Son has struggled a bit over longer trips and heading back to 7f could facilitate a return to form.

Son really wasn’t beaten far when finishing fourth in the Group 3 Greenham Stakes over this trip last term and that form suggests he could do well in this contest.

Aggressive tactics over a mile exposed his inability to stay the trip at Newmarket last time, but the handicapper has dropped him 4lb since and this looks like a good opportunity to return to winning ways for the first time since his two-year-old days.
