Horse Racing Tips: Lots to love about Heart Above at Kelso

There is some fantastic jumps action across the UK and Ireland on Sunday, with three meetings taking place across the afternoon.
First off is Cork before they go at Kelso and Huntingdon. Among our Sunday fancies is one for trainer Dianne Sayer that has a good record around the tight Kelso turns.

12:10 Huntingdon - Bitsnbuckles @ 15/2
Trainer Olly Murphy looks set for another big weekend and he saddles BITSNBUCKLES, who was successful on his sole start at this course and has more to offer at the track.
Bitsnbuckles has yet to show the same form since that last success here in January 2024, but did give more when beaten only a neck in second at Wetherby in November last year and the front two were nicely ahead there. It was a clear indication that there should be more to come from him in time.
The selection was off the track for more than a year after that run and failed to back it up when beaten 22 lengths into fourth at Market Rasen last month, but that wasn’t a bad effort on his first start after 377 days off the track and he is entitled to improve plenty for the return.
Bitsnbuckles now wears a tongue strap for the first time and looks capable of taking a step forward under Lewis Saunders, who is good value for his 3lb allowance.

13:15 Huntingdon - Haas Boy @ 5/1
There is a lot to like about HAAS BOY, who lines up in this 2m handicap hurdle and is a course-and-distance winner, so we know that he is well served by this sort of test.
The Chester Williams-trained eight-year-old has returned right back to his best on his last two starts. He was successful over fences at Newton Abbot in October and made short work of the opposition when returning to hurdling at Exeter last time, beating 16 rivals in fine style.
Haas Boy is up another 5lb in the weights, but this will be only his third start since joining the Williams yard and just the third time that he has worn cheekpieces. He is unbeaten in them.
He acts with plenty of cut in the ground, so he should have no problem with the conditions softening up, and there is more to come from Haas Boy with Harry Cobden back on board.

15:15 Kelso - Heart Above @ 7/2
Kelso can be a real specialist test because it’s a tight track which places plenty of pressure on speed and it can often pay to stick with those who have proven form over the course.
Step forward HEART ABOVE, who has two wins, five seconds and a third from eight starts at Kelso and simply loves the place. He has recorded wins here on two of his last three outings and looks capable of taking another step forward, despite the career-high mark.
Heart Above is 7lb higher than when scoring over 2m5f at the track last time, but looked like he would be suited by a sharper test on that occasion. He travelled powerfully through his race and that is enough to convince me that he might be even better dropped back to 2m.
He was run down only over the final stages when second over course and distance two starts ago, which shows that he has the speed needed, and looks capable of winning again.
