Horse Racing Tips: Ready Cash at Ayr on Sunday

There’s one Flat and one National Hunt meeting in the UK on Sunday. They go on the flat at Ayr where a seven-race card starts at 13:45, before the first of seven at Market Rasen kicks off at 14:00.
Amongst our horse racing tips for the afternoon is one for the Easterbys who will enjoy a bit of give underfoot.

13:45 Ayr - Stash The Cash @ 10/3
There has been rain around at Ayr this week and that should mean conditions will be ideal for Tim Easterby’s STASH THE CASH for the first time this season.
His best form, including his three wins, have come on good to soft or softer, and after three runs on unsuitably fast ground this spring/summer his mark has fallen a handy 5lb.
Despite the leeway from the handicapper, he has shown plenty in those three starts, including a fifth in a good Class 4 on seasonal debut and fading late on last time.
That was at Hamilton and today’s flatter track should enable him to last longer, while as a straightforward forward-going ride he is perfect for today’s amateur contest.

15:30 Ayr - Theoryofeverything @ 11/4
Another for whom softish underfoot conditions are key is David O’Meara’s five-year-old THEORYOFEVERYTHING who gave notice that he may not have stopped improving yet with an eye-catching seasonal debut.
That was his first run after a wind op, and came in a deep Class 3 at Haydock where Danny Tudhope didn’t help the pair’s finishing effort by dropping his whip.
That was his third best run on RPRs, his best coming when taking a Class 2 handicap on soft ground at Ascot last September, and any improvement on this second run of the year should be good enough to win this.
Made a non-runner because of ground in a Class 2 at Sandown recently, he should enjoy this slight drop in grade from his seasonal debut and he can take this on his way to running in some high-quality handicaps at the back end of the year.

16:20 Market Rasen - Jerrash @ 17/2
Mickey Bowen has taken over seamlessly from dad Peter and JERRASH can take this valuable contest again from a 4lb higher mark than when winning cosily last year.
It’s fair to say this summer hasn’t gone according to plan for the gelding, with two unseats in contests at Cartmel and Uttoxeter, but a return here on proper good ground should enable him to return to form.
He never looked happy on his seasonal return at Cartmel in May, while he was 66/1 for the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter last time where he didn’t get far. Hopefully those runs, despite the blips, will have blown away the cobwebs for this more suitable target.
Sean Bowen, who rode him for last year’s win, takes over for the first time this season and brother Mickey’s impressive 25% success rate in his nascent career rises to 36% when the champ is in the saddle.
