Horse Racing Tips: More to come from Just Adair at Windsor

There’s a little something for everyone on Monday, as there’s turf, all-weather and National Hunt racing on offer across Britain and Ireland. First off is Lingfield’s nine-race card, before the action continues at Perth and Windsor. A Jumps fixture at Galway provides Ireland’s offering, and an evening meeting at Newcastle concludes proceedings.
Amongst Monday's Horse Racing Tips is one for Jonjo & A.J. O’Neill, who took a big step forward on handicap debut last time, and further improvement could be on the cards.

14:32 Windsor - Hilitany @ 5/6
George Boughey had a nice winner in a Listed juvenile contest at Haydock on Saturday, and two-year-old HILITANY could be one to look out for too. He produced a professional performance to finish second by less than a length on debut at Ffos Las in July.
The trip probably wasn’t ideal, but Hilitany was only just headed in the final furlong. Gaga Mate finished third that day, and he boosted his form by dead-heating for third in the Super Sprint at Newbury on his next start.
Clearly, the extra furlong helped next time, as the son of Ubettabelieveit ran out an impressive winner, getting off the mark at the second time of asking. That form has also been boosted by the second, who won easily next time.
Boughey’s colt is entitled to improve again, but it’s entirely possible that a similar performance would be enough. A 7lb penalty will make life harder in theory, but he had enough in hand last time to suggest a follow-up success is on the cards.

15:02 Windsor - Just Adair @ 5/2
Jonjo & A.J. O’Neill are primarily National Hunt trainers, and that is backed up by the fact that the pair have only had 16 runners on the Flat together. Only one of those has won, and that success came at Windsor, providing them with a 50 per cent course strike-rate.
JUST ADAIR was the winner in question, and he looks well set to progress again, which would give the three-year-old every chance of following up.
He was a no-show in three starts in maiden and novice company, but it was a very different story on handicap debut.
Scoring by half a length over course and distance, he did all his best work late on to claim victory. It’s worth noting that the handicapper hasn’t overreacted to that performance, and a 2lb rise looks both very reasonable and unlikely to make much difference.
His profile suggests that further progress seems likely in this sphere, and a big run is anticipated. The handicapper probably doesn’t have this horse in their grasp just yet.

15:22 Lingfield - Harryella @ 5/6
James Fanshawe runs last-time-out winner HARRYELLA in this, and the three-year-old could hardly have been more impressive at Lingfield. Wider than ideal in the early stages, he took up the running with two furlongs to go and never looked like stopping.
This son of Postponed finished three-and-a-quarter lengths clear of the second, but the handicapper certainly didn’t miss that performance. Fanshawe’s gelding has been whacked with a substantial 8lb rise, but that might not be enough if he’s in similar form here.
Both of his wins have come on left-handed tracks with a Polytrack surface, and it’s certainly eye-catching that Oisin Murphy is back on board.
