13:40 Leicester - Amathus @ 3/1
A talented apprentice rider can be worth their weight in gold in races confined to those still with a claim and one rider that has made a highly promising start to his career is Jack Callan, the son of top jockey Neil Callan.
Jack gets the ride on board Amathus in Leicester’s opener and the fact he’s still able to claim 5lb against fellow apprentices is a major boost for the chances of Amathus who only went up 4lb for a Brighton success at the start of the month.
This eight-year-old has marked himself out as a real seven-furlong specialist in the last few seasons, with each of his last five wins coming at the trip and the drying ground is going to suit with all his victories coming on good or quicker. This could be as straightforward as it comes as far as follow-up successes are concerned.

14:02 Listowel - Vlhova @ 8/1
The ground is going to be slow at Listowel on Monday with the track getting plenty of rain over the last few days and one that should relish conditions is Vlhova.
This three-year-old filly signed off her time with Kevin Thomas Coleman with a Killarney success, losing her maiden tag in the process, and that win coincided with meeting soft in the going description for the first time.
She appeared to relish conditions that day with an all-the-way success and her trainer cited the slow ground when asked about the marked improvement from the filly. She was then bought for 14,500gns by the Gerry O’Leary team and proved her first success was no fluke with another cracking effort from the front at Galway a fortnight ago, only fading well inside the final furlong.
This slight drop back in trip will certainly help on that evidence and this course and distance is a better track for front runners so there has to be a chance she’ll be hard to pass from just a 1lb higher handicap mark with a good low draw in stall five.
If she finds any improvement from her yard debut, then expect her to be hard to keep out of the first four.

16:43 Hamilton - I Need Your Love @ 4/1
There have been a few signs of a return to form from I Need Your Love in his last couple of outings, particularly when catching the eye last time out, and he looks capable of getting his head back in front at Hamilton.
With very few other front runners on paper, an uncontested lead looks to be on the cards here and a high draw on the straight track at Hamilton can often be an advantage so stall eight of nine could be the place to be.
