Horse Racing Tips: Fire Thunder to go one better on Monday

There's lots of Monday racing action to enjoy across Britain and Ireland with six meetings taking place. It's Flat racing all the way with meetings on the turf at Carlisle, Lingfield, Redcar, Roscommon and Windsor, joined by the all-weather meeting at Wolverhampton.
My Monday Horse Racing Tips are below, including recent Wolverhampton second Fire Thunder as he bids to open his account at the second time of asking.
Horse Racing Tips - 18 May 2026
- 16:22 Lingfield – Travel Agent @ 9/4
- 17:05 Windsor – Fire Thunder @ 4/1

16:22 Lingfield – Travel Agent @ 9/4
TRAVEL AGENT is proving a torchbearer in the fledgling training career of Adam Kirby. The No Nay Never gelding comes here seeking to complete a hat-trick in the Sri Lanka Wonder Of Asia Handicap for the Derby-winning rider.
He has form figures of 4211 in four runs since joining this handler from Martin Dunne, with his wins coming on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton and here on the Polytrack last month.
He has hit the line strongly in both wins and defied a 4lb rise in good style here last time. A further 3lb nudge up in the ratings is applied now. He has to prove he can transfer that improved form from the synthetics to the grass but, assuming he does, William Carson's partner looks likely to collect another prize.

17:05 Windsor – Fire Thunder @ 4/1
Marco Botti's FIRE THUNDER took a silver medal on debut at Wolverhampton this month despite an SP of 25/1 and the Sioux Nation filly can quickly go one better now.
She conceded first run to the debut winner and closed to within a head at the line, with the promising and experienced Leucothea behind in third spot.
Benoit De La Sayette's partner should have gleaned plenty from that initial experience and has scope for improvement switched to turf. Botti's string are in good tune right now and another winner beckons.

18:40 Windsor – The Flying Seagull @ 13/2
Hugo Palmer drops THE FLYING SEAGULL back to the minimum trip here and it could be just what the four-year-old Kodiac gelding needs.
He had a couple of early spring runs on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton over 6f and should be ready to do himself justice on this first turf start of the season.
He has twice run well over 6f at Windsor previously and is now rated 5lb lower than for those races. He likes to race prominently and was an all-the-way winner at Chester in a maiden in 2024.
Jason Watson is on board here and they could make a bold bid for this if getting away alertly now tackling this distance for the first time.
