Horse Racing Tips: Seeyouinmydreams to make perfect start over fences

While we have no Irish racing to look forward to on Monday, there are four meetings in Britain to tide us over, with a little something on offer for all racing fans. Worcester gets us underway and their Class 2 feature race has a significant prize fund on offer.
Brighton and Thirsk offer up some Flat turf racing for us, whilst Kempton’s all-weather fixture provides the evening entertainment. We have selected our three strongest fancies across the day’s racing and they are well worth following. They include a chasing debutante for top trainer Paul Nicholls, who has made an excellent start to the season so far.

Paul Nicholls has been very selective with his runners over the summer months but has maintained an impressive strike-rate of 43%, with 17 winners from just 40 runners. Added to that, his only other runner in the last fortnight was a winner.
SEEYOUINMYDREAMS cost 235,000 guineas after winning an Irish point impressively and looked like she was going to justify that price tag when bolting up in a Newbury bumper on her debut under rules.
Things haven’t quite gone to plan since and her career has taken a different trajectory, but she remains a fairly useful performer at this level. She bolted up at Fakenham on her first start over hurdles back in May 2024 and quick ground is important to her.
Nicholls’ mare tends to win easily or disappoint but bucked that trend when running well in defeat at Newton Abbot in July. Fences could be the making of her and the yard’s runners tend to improve plenty when going chasing.
Having won an Irish point at the start of her career, it seems likely that she will follow suit and Nicholls’ already impressive strike-rate can be improved again here.

15:50 Thirsk - Hockney @ 11/10
Betfred are offering four places in this race, but Tom Dascombe’s thoroughly unexposed handicapper HOCKNEY is unlikely to require those, as victory could well be on the cards.
He has only had four starts so far and that suggests the best is yet to come.
The son of Showcasing struggled in two starts over 7f, but showed signs of improvement when fifth in a Doncaster novice on his third start. Connections decided to give him wind surgery before switching to handicaps and that combination has made a big difference.
Bolting up on handicap debut at Lingfield last time out, he was backed on the day and the market confidence was fully justified.
Positive tactics were employed and his rivals had no answer, and he scooted clear to score by five-and-a-half lengths in the end.
Now could be a good time to catch him as the handicapper is not going to let that performance go unanswered, so a 6lb penalty should make little difference.
It wouldn’t have made an impact at Lingfield and he probably doesn’t need to improve in order to win here.

17:30 Kempton - Midnight Rodeo @ 11/10
MIDNIGHT RODEO didn’t show a great deal in his first three starts, but it was a very different story on handicap debut at Musselburgh last time out.
Clearly the switch to handicaps combined with the step up to a mile suited as he went on to finish second by a narrow margin.
It’s worth noting that the winner has let the form down since, but Midnight Rodeo’s profile suggests he’s likely to progress further in this sphere.
The handicapper has put him up 2lb since but there should be more to come from George Scott’s gelding.
