Horse Racing Tips: Burke charge to steam in at Goodwood

First off is Goodwood before they go at Haydock, Bath and Pontefract. Jumps action takes place at Downpatrick and Worcester. Amongst our Friday selections is one for trainer Karl Burke in the Fitzdares Festival Listed Stakes, a race he won last year.

16:17 Goodwood - Boiling Point @ 6/1
Karl Burke won this race last year with Liberty Lane and he runs two in this year's renewal of the Fitzdares Festival Listed Stakes.
The pick of the two looks to be Boiling Point, who won a Listed race two years ago and ended last season by winning the Cambridgeshire.
His third last time out in a Group 3 over a slightly shorter trip behind Damysus reads well, especially given the John Gosden and Thady Gosden-trained four-year-old looks a possible Group 1 contender later in the season.
He's the top-rated horse in the race and receives 3lb from rivals who have won a Group 3 in the past, including stablemate Ice Max.

16:52 Goodwood - Mister Bluebird @ 13/2
The Heather Main-trained Mister Bluebird has been a remarkably consistent performer with eight wins, nine seconds and 10 thirds in his career and earning over £150,000 in prize money.
The eight-year-old has regularly held his own in competitive handicaps and showed he retains plenty of ability when beaten only a short head at Musselburgh on his latest outing over 7f.
That performance produced one of the strongest ratings of his recent career and suggested he remains firmly capable off his current mark.
A dual winner at Goodwood in the past, including over this trip, he has often excelled in big-field handicaps when able to settle just off the pace before finishing strongly.
Mason Paetel again claims a valuable 5lb and, with conditions likely to suit, the veteran looks capable of putting up another bold showing back at one of his more favoured tracks.
16:52 Goodwood - Winner

16:40 Haydock - Bnaider @ 11/10
The Harry Charlton-trained Bnaider remains a lightly raced three-year-old with the potential for further progress, particularly now stepping up in trip after shaping encouragingly in stronger company.
The gelded son of New Bay produced a solid effort on his handicap debut at Sandown last month when finishing fourth behind Lost Boys over 1m2f, keeping on steadily in the closing stages.
That form already looks strong, with third-placed The Joker advertising it by running another good race subsequently, while Lost Boys boosted the race further by going on to land the London Cup.
Bnaider had previously shown promise in novice company as a two-year-old, notably finishing third at Newbury on soft ground, and he still looks capable of improving with experience.
Oisin Murphy is on board once again and, with the Sandown form working out so well, another step forward would see him win here.
