15:45 Ascot - Remmooz @ 3/1
It wasn't the strongest of maidens by Newmarket standards that CERRO BLANCO won on debut last month, however there was plenty to like about the manner of his victory.
The length and a quarter margin of victory doesn't tell the full story as the son of Wotton Bassett didn't get the clearest of runs and appeared unbalanced when asked to switch.
However, the way he picked up when in the clear was quite taking, under just a hand and heels ride.
He looks like an exciting prospect and can take this step up to Listed class in his stride.
Commonwealth Cup entry Saber Strike also comes into this after an impressive maiden victory, however, that came at 6f so he needs to prove himself at the trip and lacks a recent run.

16:05 Newmarket - Elarak @ 11/4
ELARAK may be able to defy top weight in the 7f handicap at 16:05 at Newmarket. The son of Kingman was hiked up 7lb for an impressive win over this course and distance to end his three-year-old campaign in September.
The manner of that victory suggests he may be able to compete in a higher grade than this.
He has been gelded over the winter and a recent reappearance in a Thirsk will have set him up nicely for a return to a handicap company under his optimum conditions.

16:40 Newmarket - Cerro Blanco @ 15/8
It is an open contest for the Listed Queen Anne Trial at Ascot, with preference given to REMMOZ, who showed good progress throughout his three year old campaign, recording an impressive four wins from six starts.
He handled the step up to this grade when taking a Listed contest to round out his season, getting the better of a solid yard stick for the grade in Volterra.
The son of Blue Point will have no problem moving back up to a mile here and is very much the type to continue to improve as a four year old.
Owen Burrows has his team in fine form with two wins and two seconds from his last five runners.
