Haydock Park Tips: Buick could lead La Cadalora to maiden victory

There are seven UK and Irish race meetings to sink your teeth into on Thursday but it is the action at Haydock Park that catches my eye, with a six-race card in store.
Below you can check out my Haydock Park Tips.

14:40 Haydock Park - Street Life @ 9/2
The opening race of the day is an interesting Class 5 featuring seven runners over a 5f trip. There are a couple worthy contenders for this one but the one who stands out for me is STREET LIFE.
This eight-year-old has been in good shape over the past few months after a shaky start to the year. The gelding hasn't placed outside the top three in his last six showings which features back-to-back victories at Chepstow and Southwell in May.
Trained by Patrick Morris, Street Life has plenty of experience over this distance and recent form suggests he will be a strong contender upon his return to Haydock for the first time in two years. But he also boasts a C&D victory on this track from 2021 which was on good to firm ground.
The going looks to be similar here on Thursday so conditions are looking optimal.

15:40 Haydock Park - Blue To Blue @ 9/2
This Class 4 Nursery Handicap over 6f pits six two-year-olds against each other, giving us a glimpse of some potential stars in the making. All the runners have decent credentials here but it is BLUE TO BLUE who has my backing.
This bay colt is the son of Blue Point and Hazaraba so because of his breeding, he is expected to have little trouble making the step up to this distance from five furlongs.
He caught the eye as he won on debut at Southwell but this was followed up a slightly disappointing fourth at Beverley in May, but there was some interference during that run.
Trainer Karl R Burke will hope to have stamped out the issues that held him back last time out and will hope that the move up in distance will be seamless. If that is indeed the case like connections are hoping, Blue To Blue should be in contention.

16:10 Haydock Park - La Cadalora @ 15/8
LA CADALORA makes her Haydock debut on Thursday in this Class 5 race over 1m 3f. This is going to be the four-year-old's third run of the season, which has started fairly well with two third-place finishes at Newbury and Doncaster in her first handicap appearances.
This will be a slightly shorter trip to those last two showings which might work in her favour. She is already proving she is a strong stayer and trainer James Fanshawe is probably sensing that her first-ever victory could be imminent.
Could it be Haydock on her track debut? Conditions are looking good which are sure to help her cause, as will her rider, the vastly experienced and serial winner William Buick.
