Haydock Tips: Contacto primed to go one place better on Merseyside

The final Flat card of the season from Haydock takes centre stage on Friday, with seven races and each-way value to be had with plenty of runners on show.
We have three Haydock tips for you to consider, including an in-form runner from the William Haggas yard.

13:55 - Contacto @ 4/1
The only three-year-old in the field, Coedana, has to be feared in receipt of weight from his older rivals following his dominant success at Newcastle last time out.
However, that was over a shorter trip, he has been raised 8Ib by the handicapper, his best form to date is on the all-weather and this is a much deeper race than he has contested before.
Therefore, there could be value in taking on Edward Bethell’s lightly-raced runner and CONTACTO looks the biggest danger now dropped in grade.
Andrew Balding’s runner was unable to reel in the reopposing High Point over course and distance last time out but the winner was given an easy time of things in the lead and should get more pace pressure with the likes of Dino Bellagio and Gnomon in the line-up.
A true stamina test over this 1m6f trip would play to Contacto’s strengths, as he has been placed over two miles and there should still be room for improvement off a mark of 85.

16:50 - Kinswoman @ 7/4
KINSWOMAN was just denied in her hat-trick bid in a competitive five-furlong handicap at York seven days ago, but she returns to calmer waters and may be able to make amends for the dominant Haggas stable.
The three-year-old filly is due to go up 2Ib in the near future for that head second to Dan Tucker on the Kavesmire, so she looks well-handicapped and she should be able to prove that against more exposed rivals.
There doesn’t appear to be heaps of pace on for a five-furlong dash, which would go against chief threats Jer Batt and Duran, and a prominent early position should soon see Kinswoman away and gone.

17:25 - Impressor @ 12/1
A fast-run five furlongs is exactly what IMPRESSOR wants and, with that a likely scenario given trailblazers Secret Mistral and Never Dark are in the field, he could finish best to win the season finale.
Impressor seems to have taken well to the services of 5Ib claimer Archie Young, who steered him to victory at Hamilton two runs ago, and although now 5Ib above that mark, he has plenty of back class having once been group-placed and rated 26Ib higher.
The eight-year-old rarely runs a bad race, having been out of the placings only once in his last four starts, and his ability to stay further could be a blessing in this company given the potential pace collapse.
