14:00 Ascot - Lord Baddesley @ 11/4
The Anthony Honeyball yard has been in fine form of late and Lord Baddesley has already contributed to that good form, when he won easily by 18lengths at Newbury.
There were just three runners that day, but he still displayed a good round of jumping and beat two higher-rated rivals.
He features in another small field here with four rivals taking him on, one of which, Your Darling, has been off the rack for 544 days.
While Lord Baddesley's form of fences is anything particularly special (two wins in 15 starts) he has largely been competing in some of the more competitive handicaps over the years.
His mark had fallen and now placed in easier races, he's able to show his true ability. He does thrive in a smaller field too, with all of his wins coming with under 10 runners in the race.
It's a good time to be backing Anthony Honeyball horses and his charge should be going close today.

14:35 Ascot - Fortune De Mer @ 11/8
Dan Skelton sends his grade two novice winning five-year-old Fortune De Mer into handicap company for the first time, in what could be a shrewd bit of placing off a mark of 124.
He's always been held in good regard with him running in the grade 1 champion bumper at Cheltenham and perhaps was not able to show his true ability that day.
He needed the run and the experience of his penultimate start at Uttoxeter in what was his hurdles debut made him ready for Cheltenham and he was able to hold off Doctor Blue to win the grade two.
A listed winner in National hunt flat rules and a grade two winner on his second start over hurdles, he has got potential to be a lot better than a mark of 124 and the expectation is he could win this stylishly.

15:10 Ascot - Safe Destination @ 10/3
The Nigel and Willy Twiston Davis trained Safe Destination put in a fine display on his penultimate start at Chepstow, in what was an emphatic performance.
He went off favourite at Kempton last time out and, while was unable to follow up for back-to-back wins, he lost little in defeat and also finished ahead of Jubilant, who runs against him here.
He's a proven winner, with six victories from his 17 chase starts, and based on the win at Chepstow he has not reached his ceiling.
There is more to come from this seven-year-old and he can get another win here.
