Horse Racing Tips: Carlisle will rise for the Judge once again

There are seven race meetings across the UK and Ireland to look forward to on Thursday, with a mixture of jumps and flat action, so there is something for every racing aficionado.
Carlisle and Chelmsford are the notable cards of interest for me as this is where I have selected my horses for my latest Daily Double, and you will find these Horse Racing Tips below.
Horse Racing Daily Double - Thursday, October 16

16:15 Carlisle - Hello Judge @ 5/2
Sixteen fences have to be navigated in this handicap chase over 2m 4f at Carlisle. Seven runners are declared for this trip and the one I have my eye on is HELLO JUDGE for Ann Hamilton's yard.
The nine-year-old gelding is making his first appearance since April, with his last two outings coming over C&D here, in which he posted a victory and a respectable second-place finish.
His credentials are also boosted by the fact that Hello Judge won this race two years ago on good to soft ground. Similar conditions are set for his return to action on Thursday and I have a good feeling that we could witness him land his fifth C&D triumph at this course.
Danny McMenamin, who steered him to success in April, is back in the saddle here.
Extra Place Race - We are offering three places instead of two.

19:15 Chelmsford - Morte Point @ 7/4
William Muir and Chris Grassick-trained MORTE POINT completes Thursday's Daily Double. The three-year-old gelding has looked promising in his past three rides at Doncaster (2nd, 7f), Newbury (won, 7f) and Leicester (2nd, 6f).
He is well-conditioned over this distance and this is what awaits him at Chelmsford on Thursday evening in this Class 4 handicap. After winning on his debut at Salisbury in July 2024, it has taken time for the son of Due Diligence to show promise, which has been found in his past three outings.
Morte Point may only have on victory over 7f but he has been a strong contender each time he has covered this trip and he arrives here with leading claims as he drops back in grade after his last appearance at Doncaster (Class 2).
