Road to Cheltenham 2026 Episode 3: ‘Give it to Willie Mullins already’

Matt Hulmes, Joel Ross and Frankie Foster are back on the Road to Cheltenham after a busy week involving the November Meeting at HQ.

There was also some big names and big races over in Ireland - and the lads discuss all the fallout in Episode 3.

Kopek Des Bordes or Lulamba for the Arkle after their respective chase debuts? "Give it to Willie Mullins already," says Frankie.

Foster also describes the Supreme hero, who made a striking impression at Navan on Monday, as a "different beast".

Joel, who's "into Willie's as well", also talks up Mullins' five-year-old, who strengthened his position at the top of the market for the two-mile novice chase on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival.

Not much love for Lulamba, despite his victory at Exeter the same afternoon, but everyone agrees the prospect of the two clashing in March is mouth-watering. What a treat that would be.

L'Eau Du Sud was the horse in focus after his emphatic success in the Shloer at Cheltenham's November Meeting. Is he a Champion Chaser on the back of that? Is 10/1 good value? They're the sort of questions discussed at length.

Perhaps the most interesting shout of the episode comes from Matt, regarding the Greatwood winner. He's a huge price for the Champion Hurdle and you might well be tempted to have a couple of quid on him after hearing what Matt's got to say.

Grade 2 winners No Drama This End and July Flower are just a couple of the other names under the spotlight - and what about that ride from Sean Bowen on Wade Out? I'm still in awe.
