Brighton racecourse

There's a six-race card from Brighton coming on Tuesday to see in the month of July and there are some eye-catching runners across the day that I think may offer value in backing.

Read on to find out my Brighton Tips for Tuesday, July 1.

15:10 Brighton - My Boy Harry @ 4/1

This Class 6 race features 10 runners over a 5f 215y distance and it's MY BOY HARRY who is getting my backing here.

The three-year-old trained by Jim and Suzi Best returns swiftly after an impressive victory here over 7f on June 24, in which he faced some runners that he will face again on Tuesday.

It was his first appearance against some classified opponents and he handled himself well to win by two-and-a-quarter lengths.

This was preceded by a second-place finish at Lingfield six days prior, which has shown great improvements over the past month. My Boy Harry is to be ridden by Frederick Larson for the fourth consecutive race and that consistency can sometimes make as much of a difference as the track conditions.

15:40 Brighton - Buy The Dip @ 5/2

This Class 5 race over 7f 216y boasts a two-time champion in Brighton in the form of Buy The Dip, whose two victories came over a mile.

Two of the five-year-old's last three outings have been at this track but once again they were over the mile, but he finished second on both occasions. This was followed by a narrow win over 7f distance at Lingfield on June 21.

The last few showings have been promising for trainer Jim Boyle and the reunion with jockey Luke Catton may lead to a winning cocktail once again. The distance will be no issue for a gelding who has enjoyed success over longer trips, and I think there is value to had on this occasion.

16:10 Brighton - Warm Glow @ 7/4

James Fanshawe-trained WARM GLOW will be hoping to claim her first career victory at Brighton in this Class 6 race on Tuesday over 7f.

Steady progress has been made in the past couple of months and this is her second appearance at this racecourse. That previous appearance was contested over the same distance and the three-year-old finished third out of eight.

This was followed by a step up in trip to a mile at Bath on June 14, which she finished third out of 10, ridden by jockey Fred Daly, who will once again be on board on Tuesday.

Fanshawe knows that he needs to get more out of her in the final stretch, and any tweaks made could put her in a promising position here, where she is already considered a strong contender.
