Ayr Tips: Beauty to dazzle on Monday
Monday brings with it four race meetings across the UK and Ireland for us to sink our teeth into. I am drawn to the six-race card scheduled at Ayr.
I have picked out what I consider to three three of the best bets of the day, and you can find my Ayr Tips below.
Ayr Tips - Monday, August 18

18:45 Ayr - Jannas Journey @ 8/15
JANNAS JOURNEY is gunning for a fifth consecutive success as she contests this Class 5 handicap over 7f on Monday. The four-year-old daughter of Sioux Nation has two C&D victories in her winning streak, and another triumph at this course over 1m.
The filly has shown huge improvements in recent months since joining Jim Goldie's yard from Lucinda Russell, and the former appears to be getting the best out of her now, with belief that there is still much more to offer.
Jannas Journey boasts strong claims and is in the best form amongst this six-horse field. Her claims are only strengthened by her continued partnership with jockey Daniel Tudhope, who has been on board for her previous four victories.

19:45 Ayr - Ravishing Beauty @ 2/1
Jedd O'Keefe-trained RAVISHING BEAUTY is bidding to land a hat-trick of victories when she contests this Class 6 handicap over 1m on Monday. The four-year-old daughter of Camelot made her breakthrough at the 12th attempt in comfortable fashion at Pontefract on July 18 over this distance.
The filly then built on this with her latest outing at Nottingham, landing a second consecutive success over 1m 1/2f. It was a narrower victory on that occasion but the front two players were clear of the rest of the field.
She heads here with strong claims and I think that another big performance could be in store here. The renewed partnership with jockey Jack Garritty, who has been on board for her past three outings only boosts her credentials.

20:15 Ayr - Billy Bathgate @ 5/2
I conclude my selections with the final race of the day, which is a Class 6 handicap over 1m 5f. Eight horses are declared for this one and this one looks like it could an open field based on form.
The one who has the most impressive record coming into this is BILLY BATHGATE for Ewan Whillan's yard. The nine-year-old son of New Approach, who had an impressive second-place finish at Redcar (1m 6f) over a week ago.
The gelding has not been blessed with success in his career - just the three victories in 48 starts - but he has shown that he can handle himself over this distance. Billy Bathgate tends to start off the pace but he is often a strong finisher, and this may aid him at Ayr if things go to plan.
