15:29 Towcester - T6 (Not So Steady) @ SP

Today's maiden open looks an ideal opportunity for us to land our first victory, having been oh so close so far in our short career we can add a W to our win column with an all the way success this afternoon.

How I see the race being run.

T1 has promised a lot more in trials than he has shown in races so far, poor over the 500m trip first look last week and knocked out the puppy comp at Sunderland first round, if I cast my net back to April this dog broke 27 seconds at Oxford which is going some for a pup so the potential is there, as for today we are quicker on the outside.

T2's a solid local that will want the same running lane as T1 so will be edging across to the rails all the way up the run up mixes both two and four bend racing, I do see this one being outclassed today and I can't see him landing a blow.

No T3.

T4 has been off since May so may need this. Has run here and at Monmore and hasn't won since February, times and form over course and distance leaves a lot to be desired and will need to improve a lot to challenge this afternoon.

T5 will move more mid to rails than mid to wide on the run up as drawn, better latest when backed into Fav being held up and then finishing well has yet to run under 29.50 and will need that kind of time to win this race today, may be staying on but I'm hoping we are clear by then.

So to us on the outside in T6, good draw to work from, good splits showing that we have a lot of early pace, better times than the field even with crowding, all I can see is us trapping well, clearing the field at the bend and going on to win well. Strong choice.

20:34 Pelaw - T4 (Yates) @ SP

English debut tonight but I have heard good things about this runner and they are excited to be getting going today. Two trials, second one particularly impressive, 25.88 is very quick and any repeat of that can see us starting our time off in England with a victory.

How I see this open race being run.

T1 some quick sprint runs the last 2 weeks, compare that to her four-bend form and they read differently in regards to me that this runner doesn't really stay four bends at full pace, may show up for a couple of bends but we are a lot stronger than this one in the second half of the race.

No T2.

T3 is ex-Irish like us, been grading here in A4 and A2, ran a PB last week of 26.08, stays straight and runs middle so should give us room to pace up on her outside, will need to improve on form and times to beat us tonight.

T5 ex Central Park runner, no show on last week's debut here, where moving off at the start and also crowding at third bend, will come on for that initial run but I didn't see much pace after trouble to suggest the dog was unlucky in any way, not for me.

T6 another ex Irish runner in this from Limerick/Galway, very slow to go in two trials here over last two weeks and has over eight lengths to find with us on times alone and in racing that is quite a big distance, has run more like a stayer than a short 4 bend bitch, one to watch when stepping up in distance.

So to us in T4, the ideal launchpad to pace up, turn on T1 shoulder and then stay on past that runner in the back straight before kicking on and winning this race impressively. Very strong selection and my bet of the entire day.

20:34 Pelaw - Winner Yates
