Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Two picks from Romford

17:12 Romford - T3 (Old Fort Jiver) @ SP

We are a relatively new pup to this track and we haven't been getting the best of luck in races so far. I have been watching pace in general and I have noted us down as an unlucky loser twice out of her three runs and looking at today's race I do see a better run in store for us and that can lead to our first victory. 

How I see the race being run…

T1 has won two of the last four races, A11 and A10 so is on an upward curve. However these wins were against slower dogs than she will face today and finishing times to me suggest she will struggle in this higher grade in a clean run contest.

T2 no real show so far since arriving from Ireland, starting in A7 grader drops her another grade today into A9, couple of quick trials and first few races broke 25 seconds so will need to return to those times to figure today.

T4is a  slow-to-go runner but could sister in the grade of A8 recently, grader drops him to A9 today and could rank a danger to us if coming away as five runs ago pinged the lids and won from the front in a quick time.

T5 another downgrade in this contest, big prices and no shows the last two runs and I will need to see more form wise to fancy putting this runner up as a selection, best watched at this current time. 

T6 A9/A10 runner pops up now and again and could rate our main danger this afternoon from a good draw out wide. Lacks a yard of early pace but comes home really well and if this race gets held up this runner can take advantage.

So to us in T3, we were backed into favourite last time and got no run at the bend from a slow start, any return to our trial form split times and we should lead these today, I feel confident of a big run and our first victory.

17:31 Romford T1 (Ellaha Princess) @ SP

Very generous grade drop into the basement grade of A12 this week, been running well in A11s and strong support has meant this runner has gone off favourite or a very short price the last three runs. 

We ran fourth last week but that can be best ignored that form line due to the trouble we encountered at bend one. This afternoon we have a better make up and can use that to control this race from the fence.

How I see this A12 being run…

T2, our main danger, is a very consistent sort but time wise struggle to break 25 seconds which he will need to do to land this contest, does have a good record in A12s and has a recent win on his CV so if we don't come away or get held up this runner can take advantage.

T3 just came back on to the card after a lay off, didn't run well last week and I couldn't fancy this runner until he showed some of his old sparkle as was running a higher grade before lay off.

T4 is not the best form and always sent off a big price. Her split times concern me today as is drawn for trouble having similar split times to the runners around her, I can't see this runner being involved in today's finish.

T6 solo wide seed so has a good draw to work from and also is having her first run in A12, had this been back in June this runner was running and winning A11 and running in A9 regularly breaking 25 seconds in the process, not in that kind of form currently so best watched.

So to us on the inside, we really have lots going for us today, good draw, good grade, excellent race make up to pace up am for e our way through at the bend, I see a dominant 2-3 length victory that's why I make us my bet of the day.
