Wednesday Greyhound Tips: Two picks from Yarmouth and Romford

Our Greyhound expert Trap2Line casts his eye over Wednesday's action across the UK and likes the look of two runners at Yarmouth and Romford.

21:04 Yarmouth - T4 (Move Over Pedar) @ SP

We aren't as quick as most of the runners over four bends this evening but in six-bend races we stay on strongly especially the final few turns and if we can secure a clear run round opening two bends and tune in a pitch I think we pick this field up off the last bend.

How I see this S2 659m race being run… 

T1 been in good form over four bends and has a good draw this evening, six-bend form puts this runner running a 41.40 kinda time in a clear run contest and will have to run quicker than that if she is able to beat us but out the whole field I do see this runner on draw and form alone being our main danger. 

T2 is not as quick as T1 in stride and is a 41.50 runner for this distance, will need to again run faster this evening and could get caught up in crowding on the inner round the first few bends as does have similar split times to T1.

T3 first try over this far so is a complete unknown over the distance, there is nothing I've seen in her 4 bend races that tells me she is crying out for this distance and I feel will drop away in the second circuit tonight. 

T5 should really lead out wide, danger if doing so, but again around the 41.50-41.60 mark for the trip and will have to improve a few lengths to match us but solo seed with no T6 brings him into mix zero from four tries in the grade. 

So to us in T4, we should have space to pace up tonight, need to be careful round bends one and two but if we come out of that without a bump and a few lengths behind the leaders I would fancy us to come through off the last bend to win this race going away.

Compared to the remainder of the field we have times of 41.23, 41.28 and 41.49 which compares very favourably to T1 especially and I see the racing post projected SP of 4/1 a joke and I make us joint favourite at least so watch the money come for us throughout day. Confident choice.

18:53 Romford - T2 (Bensourboy) @ SP

We got a very pleasant downgrade this evening from A8 to A9. Last time we were in this grade we ran riot and went off at a very short price indeed, looking at tonight's make up I see it being very favourable to us and we can quickly put this race to bed.

How I see the race panning out…

T1 has been on and off the card and when fully wound up has been running in A4s back in April, woeful form since and has finished last in the last six races and that has meant she has found herself in this A9. Although, one saving grace is she has a 100% record when in this grade so if she came back to form she would be dangerous, not for me though.

T3 is relatively new to the track and from what I've seen in trials and one race is going to edge off a true line and run more mid to wide so that is going to give us lots of space on her inner. 

T4's been in poor form recently and has been going off big prices, has come up from A12 in June to this A9 tonight but nothing on form says she will beat us. 

T5 similar to us and on the downgrade this evening, 20% strike rate in the grade doesn't instill much confidence and we can crucially gain first run, this runner is strong as has six-bend form so if the race crowds or slows up at any point then this runner can take advantage. 

T6 no real show in A8s and back down to this winning level this evening, ex-Yarmouth runner has a peach of a draw outside slow starter and rates our main danger this evening big if we are unable to clear T1 then this runner will have the outside to himself and holds a record of 3/5 in the grade. 

So to us in T2, superior form and a good draw to boot this evening, we can turn handier than usual but use our middle pace to kick clear and win this race by multiple lengths, one of my strongest bets of the day.
