Friday Greyhound Tips: Roaming round Romford and dancing at Dunstall

Our resident greyhounds tipster, Trap2Line, closes out the working week with a look at two top picks from today's racing. We're off to Romford and Dunstall Park for a pair of prize runners.

20:36 Romford - Gary The Arb (T1) @ SP

We have a plum draw this evening on the rails to safely book our place in next week's decider. I see dominance all the way victory this evening in this semi final.

T2 stayed on well last week in the first round to come through in second place and getting towards the winner on the run in. Crucial we gain first run this evening.

T3 recently stepped back up to six bends. This dog will look for the rails early but led last week and easily got picked up. This is harder and again I see this runner struggling.

T4 is another runner that prefers to be nearer the fence and will turn left as traps rise. Time wise will need to improve a bundle to qualify.

T5 has a good draw and looks the main danger to us. Doesn't run this track as well as Yarmouth and Monmore, but is a good stayer that can come through during the second half of race to qualify in second behind us.

T6 won well last week when stepped up in trip. Has four bend pace to potentially lead up with T1 and it will be touch and go who leads. May run well and be fighting T5 for second qualifying spot tonight.

So to us in T1, we have a good draw for a solo on rails. Has four bend pace too so could quickly go to the front. Anything sub 35 seconds should be good enough to win this and a clear run can easily achieve that time. Very strong choice with lots going for this runner tonight.

18:31 Dunstall Park - Raebella Bullet (T5) @ SP

This is the second round of the Oaks tonight. Even though we haven't got the greatest of draws, the race can be set up for us by T6 and we can challenge during the second half of contest. If we do so, we should win this race going away.

T1 did well to qualify last week after early trouble. Noted doing lots of late work to make this second round. I just feel us and T6 will gain first run tonight.

T2 came third at a big price last week and will come on for first run in Britain. Will need to improve five-to-six lengths to figure tonight. I don't personally see that level of improvement. Not for me.

T3 is a consistent sort at Romford and ran on well behind T6 last week after being held up. I don't see a clear run for this runner and on that note I can't fancy her.

T4 has a poor draw and will be looking for the rails on the run up so will move across to the inner. That can cause a knock on effect for the runners on her inside, which in turn could ruin each of their chances.

T6 was a winner last week and is a well thought of bitch from Ireland. Has a dream draw that should make for a solo out wide tonight. Lots of early pace and can quickly lead this field. To me, we are stronger and can pick this runner up around final two bends if turning second. If we get held up however this runner could skip on and win. I wouldn't put anyone off the reverse forecast T5/T6.

So to us in T5. We do need to cheat the draw, but with a slow starting railer in T4 that can help hold the remainder of the inside up. I see us turning second in behind T6 and if we do that I can't see that one holding us as our second half pace is far superior. We also stay on a lot stronger and that is why I make us my bet of the day.
