1 pt 18:29 Star Pelaw – Noelles Glenlo (T5) @ SP
All eyes on Star Pelaw this evening for an ultra-competitive mixed card featuring open races over two, four and six-bend distances.
At 18:29, NOELLES GLENLO (T5) looks a class above her rivals in the Star Sports On Course Maiden Stayers Trophy over the six-bend 590-metre trip at the north-east venue.
Sunderland raider Noelles Glenlo has kept good company of late, running in four-bend 450 metre open races at her home track against the likes of Slingshot Poppy and Mossend Lav.
Tonight, on six-bend and Star Pelaw debut, the March 2024 daughter of Orchesrate looks the likely leader and, once on the bunny, she will prove hard to beat.
The key to the race, as ever, will be the break and run into the first bend. Swift Yawn won well on Star Pelaw debut recently and followed that up with a second-placed effort over course and distance in 36.58. She rates as the main danger from T4.

1 pt 19:04 Star Pelaw – Emilys Superstar (T4) @ SP
The Star Sponsor The Derby Stayers Trophy at 19:04 can go to class act EMILYS SUPERSTAR from T4.
The Glenn Foot-trained Doncaster railer broke the track record over course and distance back on October 4, when making all in 35.62.
Since then, the May 2022 daughter of Droopys Sydney has been lightly raced with just the six outings. Two recent runs would have blown away the cobwebs, including an impressive quick-away-made-all success over course and distance last time out in 35.91.
If Emily gets it right at the boxes and leads round, she can prove to be a class above her rivals here. Maes Maya (T2) can chase home the selection and fill the forecast spot.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
1 pt 19:42 Star Pelaw – Trinity Coco (T6) @ SP
The third and final selection at Star Pelaw this evening is TRINITY COCO who runs from T6 in the #bettingpeople Interviews Maiden Trophy at 19:42 over the four-bend 435-metre trip.
This looks a match race between Lockstep in T4 and Coco out in T6. Preference is for the Newcastle raider out in T6 who looks well-drawn as the solo wide in the race and a vacant box in T5 strengthening claims.
The key will be the break. If Coco brings his trapping boots and turns with the pace, his natural middle gears will see him hit the front by the third bend and power clear. Lockstep (T4) bolted up in A3 graded company last time out, making all in 26.22.
The lightly raced September 2023 daughter of Droopys Scolari would be a danger to all with a level break and clear run.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
