Wednesday Greyhounds Tips: Yarmouth’s the place to be tonight

Our resident greyhounds guru Trap2Line is on the case once more, and has two great Yarmouth prospects for later on this evening. Here's all the detail.

Today's Greyhound Odds

20:13 Yarmouth - T2 (Black Turbo) 

On the face of it you're probably thinking I've gone mad; three races, and 6th 6th 6th, but that doesn't tell the full story.

If you have access to do so rewatch the race on 29/1/25 - evenly away, making excellent headway into first bend but completely baulked and put out of the race. I go back to this dog's trials and a repeat of any of the final two runs would surely win this race by lengths.

How I see the race this evening going - T1 moves back here from Romford but from tailed off there and without a recent look will struggle tonight. T2 leads T1 so will be edging across to the rails and more than likely crowd up the inside runner.

T4 - her form has taken a nosedive since season, and I would currently advise a watching brief as she is plummeting down the grades. T5 trials suggest that she will be very slowly away and that leads to trouble as she paces up to the bend.

T6 is the danger to us as I feel if we don't get the start right and T6 goes round the first bend clean it could be curtains, as that will surely lead T5 on his inside. I feel we are going to have more room tonight on the run up and turn no worse than 2nd, and then it will be game on, and even after trouble we showed some pace which I noted. Tonight's the night for our debut win, fingers crossed.

20:31 Yarmouth - T4 (Speedy Torpedo) 

Unlucky last week when stumbling at the traps and crowded first bend. Had we not stumbled we would've led round and gone on to record an impressive victory. Similar field today, with some runners from last week reopposing.

How I see the race being run - T6, winner last week, would be dangerous if there was crowding on the inside and was able to pace round the field at the first bend but I don't see that.

T5 is stepping back from six bends to four on return to the track. This field might be be too quick, but if it was a crowded race that could bring T5 into it.

T3 is outgraded against these and more at home in A2 rather than A1. T2 is an interesting runner returning to the card after a layoff yet has trialled in well; but we are taking fitness on trust.

T1 is again outgraded in this. I see us pacing up from a normal start and just about clearing this field at the bend. If we do we win by multiple lengths, and if we go round second we are strong enough to pick the leader up. Confident pick.
