Greyhound Tips - Wednesday, June 25
21:28 Romford - Airtech Sal (T3) @ SP
Given another chance tonight in this S4, the race make-up suits us better than the last two weeks and two tries in the grade. We have superior back form and can record a well overdue win tonight.
How I see this race panning out.
T1 is stepping back up in trip after four lacklustre tries over four bends where she has gone off double figure prices on each occasion showing no real pace and I can see her struggling tonight.
T2 won a similar contest last time out at this 575m distance in an S5, recording a competitive time in relation to this race. Will need to improve and come on again to figure tonight, I just see stronger runners with a better race make-up (including us) drawn outside him.
T4 rates a massive danger to us and we will need to gain first run as this runner is as strong and quick as us. Slow starts have been this runner's Achilles Heel meaning trouble in each of her last few races, will be coming home strongly tonight and if we get held up this runner will take advantage.
T5 is more of an S5 runner than S4 and has yet to score at this level, won well recently and did run a quick time, could lead the T4 runner early and if getting loose on the front could surprise here, but I personally don't see it and feel we get a better run.
No T6.
So back to us. We are always fancied in this grade and there is always money for us. I can see the same tonight, and we have the pace to lead and we also come home strongly, I am confident of a big run this is why I make this selection my bet of the day.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
19:56 Yarmouth - Salternator (T3) @ SP
This runner has recently moved from Swindon, and showed all kinds of promise on first run here when didn't have things go his way but still nearly managed to run down the leaders, better expected tonight and can add this A7 before climbing the grades over the coming weeks.
How I see this race being run.
T1 is recently back on the card after a short lay off, but is very slowly into stride and does mix both four and six-bend races, will give away alot of ground in the early stages and will struggle to recover.
T2 was A4 in March and now down to A7, form seems to have tailed off for now, gone off big prices recently and same again tonight, watching brief advised until returning to form.
T4 has good early pace and will keep us honest early on in this race, mixes two and four-bend races, seems to lead his four-bend races easily but doesn't stay and weakens off the last, I feel this runner will set the race up for us on his inside.
T5 previous A4/A5 bitch returning from season, will need a few races to return to fitness, trial suggests she will struggle to get involved tonight but does have better/faster back form than the rest of the field. Too early from season to make me want to back this runner tonight.
T6 dropping through the grades recently, good draw tonight but out of form and I can't see this on getting involved.
So to us in T3, we have a good draw to lead the inside, we can turn just behind T4 and use our middle pace to close and challenge by third bend, take it up and stretch clear. Max bet for me.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
