Grade A7 462m

Fourth run here and we are very consistent on times and running style, keeping very wide throughout. That will help us tonight avoid the trouble spots inside. We were running in a lowly grade at Romford before our switch here, but the long straights at Yarmouth have helped us run better.

How I see tonight’s race going - we will be prominent throughout if not leading; either way with the outside to ourselves we can circle the field and use our middle pace to go clear. Very wide off the final bend and we will lose ground, but should be far enough clear for that not to matter. Strong selection.

20:31 Yarmouth - T3 (Our Dog Aki) @ SP

Grade A6 462m

English debut tonight for this Cork runner; trialled 3 times over course and distance and getting quicker with each run, showing very good early pace.

How I see tonight’s race going - I can’t see anything less than a trap-to-line victory and leading throughout, as there isn't much early pace in the race tonight, so we should quickly lead Trap 2, and clear Trap 1 at the bend.

I wouldn’t want Trap 1 turning a length behind us as that has decent middle pace so could cause us a problem. I do see us just about clearing at the bend, missing the difficulties and running on strongly to the line having dipped under the 29 seconds mark over 480m at Cork, which is going some.

20:47 Yarmouth - T2 (Lauragh Zac) @ SP

Grade A6 462m

Another Irish recruit to these shores, this time from Dundalk/Derry. Three trials and getting quicker in each, including last time where we missed the break two lengths but still recorded a PB and an improved effort. Better start this evening and again we will improve on our times.

I make this a match race with us and Trap 3.

How I see tonight’s race going - as we are drawn inside our main danger I feel we can pace up and that will be key to winning this race. If we do lead Trap 3 I can see us stretching on for an impressive debut victory.
