Wednesday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line’s New Year’s Day picks
Our resident Greyhounds tipster Trap2Line bids to start the new year in style with a couple of selections from the afternoon card at Star Pelaw.

14:26 Star Pelaw - T2 (Tromora Meg) @ SP
This one has hit a purple patch of form lately, dipping under 26 seconds in four of their last five races, consistently showing good early pace and controlling races from the front.
Our first job is to clear T1 on the run up as every so often that dog breaks well. I see us quickly claiming the rails on the run to the first bend.
T3 is better known as a sprinter and has never raced here, so will likely swing wide at the initial bend, giving us acres of room on the inside to go round.
T4 also debuts here tonight and looks our main danger as they bring some solid open-race form to the table. Tonight is a drop in grade, so if T4 turns in a pitch it could be dangerously for us.
But all in all, I can see us leading early, building a nice lead and staying on to land the spoils.

15:03 Star Pelaw - T1 (Longacres Romeo) @ SP
Steps back up in trip after two runs over an inadequate 435m, staying on strongly in both races after trouble. Last time we ran over this course and distance and dipped under the 37-second mark for 590m which is going some.
Tonight's field isn't very strong and the form isn't as solid or as strong as ours.
I do feel that with the run to the bend our draw in T1 will help us go round handy if not leading. If any of those two scenarios happen I can't see us being back run by any of the opposition.
T2 won last week on debut over this trip, but on times we are two lengths clear of her. T3 has a bad draw and will turn left at trap rise and will crowd T2, while T4 enters the unknown trip wise. Finally, I feel T5 is out-graded and will be ultimately outclassed.
