Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Three to watch from Monmore

Our resident greyhound tipster, Michael Smyth (bettingjungle), is here to cast his eye over the day's action across the UK. He's drawn to the action taking place at Monmore and he's picked out what he considers to be the three best bets available.

1 pt 15:47 Monmore – Florican Gem (T1) @ SP

This afternoon we head to Monmore with three selections on a competitive all-graded card. At 15:47 look out for well-drawn railer FLORICAN GEM, who lines up from T1 in the S3 graded race over the six-bend 630-metre trip. The Richie Taberner-trained October 2024 youngster is very lightly-raced with just three runs on her card and one win over four-bends.

Last time out on six-bend debut, Florican Gem was highly tried in open class company and finished a well-beaten sixth. Today, in much calmer waters, Gem looks well-drawn to hold the rails around the first couple of bends. If that happens, she can lead by the third bend and kick for home. Sporting Inca (T2) is a consistent Monmore performer and rates as the main danger. Inca Darling (T3) has a chance with a ping break.

1 pt 16:24 Monmore – Betrayl (T6) @ SP

The S4 graded race at 16:24 can go to BETRAYL in T6, who looks plotted up with a vacant box on his inside in T5. The four-bend runner steps up in trip this afternoon for the first time, and it's one he should appreciate.

Granted a clear run, Betrayl can stalk the pace and make his move around the fourth and fifth bends and then power clear of the chasing pack. Bounceback Bucks (T2) has plenty of pace over 480 metres and could skip half a dozen clear and would be a huge runner with a soft lead.

Mezmerize (T4) mixes it over two, four and six-bends. She's another in with live claims and is worth considering as a forecast mixer in the race. Glenside Flo (T1) has previous form over course and distance and would be a runner with a level break.

1 pt 17:01 Monmore – Prince Danny (T6) @ SP

The third and final selection from Monmore is PRINCE DANNY, who runs from T6 in the A10 graded race at 17:01 over the four-bend 480-metre trip at the Midlands venue.

Solo wide seed Danny has caught the eye in recent weeks, flying home, but he’s yet to break his maiden tag in nine attempts. Today, all eyes will be on Danny as he looks to hit the front late on and power clear to record his first win. Ballymac Babe (T1) and Coologue Molly (T4) can battle it out for early supremacy, but then Danny can swoop late on and pick up the pacesetters.

Ballymac Babe appeals as the forecast selection from a rails draw. Madabout Racer (T2) has mixed it in A8 and A9 company in recent weeks and will appreciate this ease in grade. He’s another in with live claims in a competitive race.
