Tuesday Greyhound Tips: Michael goes for more at Monmore

Our Greyhounds expert Michael Smyth (@bettingjungle) is back with three tips on Tuesday, hoping to build on his one winner from Monday. He's taken a close look at all the action taking place across the UK, but it's Monmore that has caught his eye.

1 pt 15:27 Monmore – Wanfourtoeknee (T5) @ SP

Three from Monmore this afternoon on an ultra-competitive all-graded card from the Midlands venue. At 15:27, look out for wide seed WANFOURTOEKNEE who lines up from T5 in the D2 graded sprint race over the two-bend 264m trip.

The Chris Fereday-trained performer is five from fifteen in the grade and looks well-drawn this afternoon to win again and add to that impressive strike rate. As ever, the key to the race will be the break and run into the first bend, trap well and its race on.

Improving Milestone Penny has claims from a drawn in T2, especially if she clears Epic Susie (T1) at lid rise. August 2024 youngster Millview Mags (T4) ran well on Monmore debut last week and is worth noting in the market.

1 pt 16:24 Monmore – Datona Vamoose (T3) @ SP

The A2 graded race at 16:24 over the four-bend 480m trip at Monmore can go to well-drawn railer DATONA VAMOOSE.

In a race lacking early pace, the March 2024 daughter of Pestana has a chance to lead round and once on the bunny Vamoose is a 28.60 type of performer and a repeat of that would see her take this.

All eyes on the break, it's imperative that Datona Vamoose gets it right at the boxes, grabs the rails and kicks for home down the back straight. Shannas Cove (T1) will be staying on well and looks a solid forecast mixer in the race. Pomba Racket (T4) is another in with live claims and should be there or thereabouts granted a clear run.

1 pt 17:37 Monmore – Common Canter (T4) @ SP

The third and final selection from Monmore is strong stayer COMMON CANTER who runs from T4 in the A4 graded race at 17:37.

The May 2023 son of Ballymac Bolger was A1 grade at the turn of the year and is yet to win in 2026. That might set some alarm bells ringing, but his bare form is better than that suggests with plenty of solid efforts in A2 and A3 company in recent months.

Now in A4 Common Canter can get back to winning ways. The key this afternoon will be a clear run when mounting a challenge around the third and fourth bends. Swift Arson (T1) looks like the likely leader and the early-paced railer could be worth including in forecast bets.

Another that should enter calculations is Sugar King from T3. The youngster has won three on the bounce and has moved through the grades in recent weeks.
