Greyhounds Tips - Tuesday, January 14
T4 (Ballymac Levi) 20:09 Doncaster @ SP
Mixes it up over the 450m and 483m, very strange run latest when moved rails on the run up then swung off at the bend, totally out of character. A better early run this evening will prove fruitful so we can put last week's run behind us in this B1 (top grade 450m.
How I see this race panning out; T6 has had a few weeks off so lacks match practice, a trial over the 275m trip last week to me was inconclusive and will probably be the outsider tonight.
T5 I would prefer us to lead him early as he has a good record and produces some decent times in this grade and would be dangerous if cutting loose early on. T3 runs one good race and then one bad one and isn't very consistent but when he does put it all together is very fast, but tonight I don't like his make-up.
T2 rates the danger to us if we fluff our lines, always dips under the 28-second barrier but tonight loses the inside draw which is crucial to his chances as he has not had many tries from the T2 box.
T1 since returning from lay off has surprised me and recorded some quick times and looks to have improved since being off the card. Back to us overall we are the best/quickest dog in the race on times and form. The key is keeping out of trouble early, back straight and middle pace. None of these could live with us so if we turn handy I would be confident of a win.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
T2 (Arthur Cabbage) 20:41 Swindon @ SP
We are always there or there abouts in this A6 grade and 2 runs back we was desperate in defeat, looking over all form we seem to trap better from T2 so I'm hopeful we can lead T1 to the bend that's the key to our race this evening
How I see this race going, T6 does have a good draw on the outside and to me rates our main danger as punters have latched onto her the last 2 runs with her going off favourite.
If we get held up or not lead T1 then she could pick up the pieces on the outside. T5 is more known as a true kid runner so will be edging left out of the traps into both T4 and T3, who is coming back from injury.
T4 is a recent recruit from Monmore, all trails and race times are out-graded in this and needs a drop to A7. T3, again, form is nothing special and end times don't compete with ours. T1 could be a thorn in our side if we don't lead her but also if T1 does lead she can tow us into the race.
Overall we are the quickest in the race and we trap and stay which is a good combination. I think if we go round the bend first we definitely win, if we go round second behind T1 we also win. Confident pick.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
