1 pt 19:16 Hove – Beloved Brenda (T1) @ SP
Three from the Nevill Road circuit Hove this evening on an ultra-competitive twelve race card with action over two, four and six-bend distances. At 19:16 look out for well-drawn railer BELOVED BRENDA, who lines up from T1 in the A1 graded race over the standard four-bend 500-metre trip. The Jason Heath-trained February 2021 daughter of Droopys Jet isn’t getting any younger, but she’s holding her form well with three wins over course and distance this calendar year.
Tonight, it's all eyes on the break, it's imperative that Beloved Brenda holds the rails into the first bend and hits the back straight a couple of lengths clear. Rapido Benji (T3) is going for three on the bounce this evening following A3 and A2 wins in 29.77 and 29.72. The May 2024 youngster is blessed with blistering early pace and will be the main rival to Beloved Brenda into the corner. Fastlane Blu (T5) is two from four at Hove following a move from Central Park. The wide seed has a chance with a smart exit.

1 pt 19:33 Hove – Ower Smasher (T2) @ SP
The S2 graded race at 19:33 over the six-bend 695-metre trip can go to the June Harvey-trained railer OWER SMASHER from T2. Don’t expect to see the veteran performer up with the pace early on. She will turn nearer to last than first, but she will be flying at the fifth bend looking to mount a challenge and hit the front off the final bend. The pace in the race will come from Azura Skye from T4, with Minstrels Six in T1 likely to challenge early on.
If they battle it out, the race could be set up for a deep closer with Ower Smasher and Yougo Jenny (T3) both looking to lead late on. Dawncourt Dolly (T6) is well-drawn as the solo wide seed in the race and could go well at the price. The August 2022 daughter of Droopys Sydney won in 42.51 last time out and a repeat of that would put her bang there at the finish this evening.

1 pt 20:41 Hove – Westwood Rhys (T1) @ SP
Next up at Hove is WESTWOOD RHYS who runs from T1 in the D3 graded race over the two-bend 285-metre trip at the Nevill Road circuit at 20:41. Lightly raced May 2024 youngster Westwood Rhys caught the eye last time out on what was only his second run at Hove when finishing fourth beaten a length and three quarters.
That run is better than the bare form line suggests and, with a level break this evening, the son of King Sheeran can hold the rails and make all to break his maiden tag. Burrow Lightyear (T2) is six from fourteen in the grade and rates as the main danger. Burnpark Glory (T4) was top D1 grade around Central Park but is yet to transfer that form to Hove with five defeats in recent weeks. Easy Lashes (T6) has claims from a plot draw as the solo wide seed and a vacant box on his inside in T5.
