Thursday Greyhound Tips: A handful of hot tips from Hove

1 pt 19:16 Hove – Burrows Zeus (T3) @ SP

Profit yesterday at Romford with Makeit Tessa bolting up at 7/1. This evening we head to the Nevill Road circuit Hove with three more selections on a competitive mixed card. At 19:16 look out for the Jason Heath-trained railer BURROWS ZEUS, who makes his Hove debut this evening following a recent move across the Irish Sea. The January 2024 son of Ballymac Kingdom has some smart Irish form, including a run in the final of the 2025 Barone Racing Irish Greyhound Laurels.

In recent weeks, Burrows Zeus has moved well in two-bend trials, clocking 16.36 and 16.29. Tonight, on Hove four-bend debut, Zeus will be looking to lead round and make all, trap well and its race on. Romford raider Phoebes Buddy rates as the danger from T4. Slippy Des looks well-drawn out in T6 and could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.

1 pt 19:33 Hove – Droopys Invent (T1) @ SP

At 19:33 all eyes will be on the boxes as Droopys Invent (T1), Burrows Charm (T2) and Bowmers Wildcat (T6) clash in what should be a cracker. Preference is for the Seamus Cahill-trained runner DROOPYS INVENT from T1. Last time out, the May 2023 son of Droopys Sydney bolted with a quick-away-made-all victory recorded in 29.32.

If Droopys Invent gets it right at the boxes again this evening and leads round it’ll take a good one to back run her. Burrows Charm (T2) has form over four and six-bends, he’s another in with a live chance. Bowmers Wildcat (T6) is a class act when he gets it right at lid rise. The Paul Young-trained wide seed looks well-drawn and is sure to prove popular in the market and is worth including in forecast and tricast bets.

1 pt 20:07 Hove – Powerhouse Duke (T4) @ SP

Next up at Hove is POWERHOUSE DUKE who lines up from T4 in the Coral 695 Stayers Trophy final at 20:07 over the six-bend 695-metre trip. Duke is going for three on the bounce this evening following course and distance wins recorded in 41.99 and 41.75. If Duke pops out and leads round his natural middle gears will see him skip half a dozen clear and this should be all over bar the shouting for those that have taken the likely short odds about the Seamus Cahill-trained performer.

Droopys Rhona (T5) will be staying on well and could be a good forecast mixer at the prices. Another worth considering is Ivy Hill Cherry from T3. Kennelmate to the selection, Ivy Hill Cherry, is a consistent runner over this course and distance and is likely to go close granted a clear run.
