Following a clean sweep on Wednesday, Trap2Line, Betfred Insights' resident Greyhounds tipster, is back with three more selections for his Thursday Greyhounds tips.

20:36 Newcastle (Grade Open Race 6 Bend) - Agile Ange (T3) @ SP

100% should’ve won last week after pacing up but ran a terrible first and second bend going very wide off the last bend and chucking the race away. The reason we ran wide was the fact that we cut in from Trap 5, the move back out to Trap 6 will be perfect and I can see us pacing up and clearing at the bend.

On all times we are far more consistent than the remainder of the field, continuously breaking the 16 second barrier. In the context of this race that bodes well as the others aren’t on that level, the danger will come in the shape of the downgraded runner in Trap3 but granted our draw we can kick on and win well.

Looking over this race I think the section is solid on numerous counts, yes there is a quicker dog in Trap 4 but that has a terrible draw and needs the rails, Trap 5 also goes mid to rails, so we will have lots of space on the outside to pace up and clear the field.

On recent form we was thought good enough to contest the champions stakes at Romford, performing creditably in two runs there but we also have good form/times over course and distance - a 29.23 off a 3.48 sectional in a trial reads well.

I do see a trap to line victory for us tonight, with the remainder of the field involved in crowding on the run up initially and then at opening bend, I think we will be clear at that point and win well.

Very interesting race tonight with lots with chance but my eyes are drawn to Trap 3 stepping back up in trip for 4 to 6 bends. Ran into a blot recently at Doncaster but did perform with credit. Has since come here for a trial, so should he spot on for tonight and will be a big price.

We can do it both ways and tonight I feel we have a ping and early pace in our locker to lead both Trap 1 and Trap 2, if we clear at the bend we win by multiple lengths; we can also tuck in behind Trap 1 and Trap 2 if they lead and pick them off second lap. Either way this is a confident selection.
