Sunday Greyhounds Tips: Towcester selection catches the eye

Our Greyhounds tipster, the one and only Trap2Line, is here to round off your weekend with two tips.

19:42 Pelaw - T2 (Savana Aurora) @ SP

Oxford raider who is one of a few that have staying ability and has been over an extended trip, does bring some back class to the race this evening and will appreciate this track and trip.

How I see this maiden staying race being run - T1 very slowly into stride which will help us, has been over the 590m and will be staying on strongly I just feel we get first run. T3 is another Oxford raider from the same kennel as us, we have superior four-bend form and times over there so can prove too strong tonight. T4 ex-Irish, no show on debut and unsure if this trip will suit, I personally can't see this one getting involved. T5 solid local

in A4 grade, this is a bit different though tonight and will struggle to be up to this level stepping up in trip. T6 is a Towcester raider won over course and distance in March, decent time and rates our main danger, showed good early that day when he won and it will be a good buckle with us and this one. I just feel we will have the edge as drawn and can lead up the inner and boss this race from trap rise. Solid chance.

15:49 Towcester - T3 (Crafty Prospero) @ SP

Puppy who has been impressing me over the 500m with staying on strongly, won latest from an unpromising position but won the race going away and cleared right away as he got to the trip, so this step up in trip is a no brainer for me.

How I see this maiden staying race being run - T1 would've dipped under 44 seconds last week but for crowding when challenging for the lead so is better than the form shown so far, good draw this afternoon to work from. T2 beat T1 last time over this far but back over 500m last week didn't perform too well. T4 A3 over the standard trip and steps up for the first time today, his races don't suggest to me this distance will suit.

T5 is our main danger and likely to go off quite a short price as is better class than this field over 500m but hasn't been over this far, did trial back over the sprint trip in preparation for this race, will probably lead but I feel we will outstay this runner. T6 staying form at Perry Barr but overall will be out of her depth here, not for me. So back to us, we can track clever the first few bends and then move through the gears on the second lap, I feel T5 leads but I did think we will be a stronger stayer than that runner, I'm confident we can reel that one in off the last bend and win going away.
