Saturday Greyhounds Tips: Queen Georgia set for crowning at Monmore

19:56 Monmore - Queen Georgia (T1) @ SP

Steps back down in trip here from six bends to four but looked in good order over the course latest when landing a 630m race, showed very good early pace on that occasion. We have early and we also stay on strongly which in the context of this race will be perfect.

How I see the race going: there are some greyhounds with bad draws in this T4/T3, both want the rails so they will be turning left out of the traps and will crowd up. Our main objective is to out-trap T2 and then claim the rails - we do this and turn the bend handy, I only see one winner. T5 may be dangerous on the draw and will get space with T4 turning left, but our overall pace and form are too strong for these. Very confident selection.

20:13 Monmore - Romeo Tomcat (T4) @ SP

Very impressive debut winning by 17 3/4 lengths in a very quick time at Central Park and went into everyone's notebook on that performance alone, good early and middle gears to go clear. I wasn't blown away with last week’s trial here and a fast 48m should be ideal, should hopefully come on for that first look and I expect us to go a lot quicker today. There are dangers in this race, but I will highlight below our chances.

How I see the race going: I make this a match between us and the other pup in T5 who has impressed with wins at Oxford showing good early and finishing times have been very quick, so it won't be plain sailing for us, and it could be a battle. We do have bundles of improvement in the locker, and I see us landing this impressively before going on to bigger and better things. We are one to watch for next year’s derby.
