1 pt 19:38 Towcester – Romeo Force (T1) @ SP

Two from three at Romford last night with Gothic Abbess and Droopys Rhona both winning in impressive fashion. Tonight, all eyes are on Towcester with the semi-finals of the Star Sports & Orchestrate English Greyhound Derby taking centre stage along with a top-class supporting card. At 19:38 in the BGBF Truframe Champion Stakes semi-final over the four-bend 500-metre trip, look out for well-drawn railer ROMEO FORCE from T1. The Sheffield raider is a class act on the bunny and is in flying form, winning four on the bounce in recent weeks.

The key this evening, to completing a five-timer is the break. In an ultra-competitive heat, it's imperative that the October 2023 son of Romeo Magico holds his pitch into the first bend and hits the back straight on the bunny. Anglesey Milo (T3) is capable of a ping break and rates as the main danger. Inca Lewie (T6) has form over six-bends and will be flying home. The middle seed could be worth including in forecast bets at a price.

Towcester 18:38 - Winner
Romeo Force

1 pt 21:18 Towcester – Ballymac Deniro (T5) @ SP

The first semi-final of the English Greyhound Derby at 21:18 is a cracker with all lining up with serious claims of winning and booking a place in next week's final. The rails look competitive with Lennies Eddie (T1), Strike It Skye (T2), track record holder Epic Ace (T3) and Ballymac Duffle (T4) all looking to lead round and make all. If any of those runners pop out and got an uncontested lead, they would prove very hard to beat. As a betting proposition, the one that appeals is the Liam Dowling-trained middle seed BALLYMAC DENIRO from T5.

If the railer bump at lid rise the May 2024 son of Ballymac Finn has chances to lead round and, once on the bunny, he's a class act as he proved in the quarter-finals recording 28.21 following a smart 3.78 sectional. Kennelmate to the selection, Ballymac Iroko, is worth considering from T6. The solo wide seed in the race is plotted up and is another who will be looking to take advantage if the rails runners hamper each other.

Towcester 21:18 - Winner
Ballymac Deniro

1 pt 21:38 Towcester – Scooby The Lady (T3) @ SP

At 21:38 in the second semi-final of the English Greyhound Derby, all eyes will be on the boxes as Proper Heiress (T2), Scooby The Lady (T3) and Ballymac Ralf (T4) clash in a cracker. Preference is for Hove raider Scooby The Lady, with the Category One Kent Plate winner in flying form going for a four-timer this evening. The January 2024 daughter of Grangeview Ten is blessed with blistering early pace and looks a major player in the competition outright for trainer Richard Rees.

Proper Heiress needs no introduction. Trained by Mark Wallis, the multiple Category One finalist and winner is a credit to connections and will be looking to book his place in next weekend's final. New kid on the block, Ballymac Ralf, bolted up in the third-round heats, clocking 28.36 following a flying 3.75 sectional. The Irish raider will be a huge runner with a ping break this evening. Sole Focus (T1), Hackney Corner (T5) and Lennies Tank (T6) have all performed well in the competition to date and go into this evening's semi-finals with live claims. Good luck to all owners, connections and trainers with runners this evening.

Towcester 21:38 - Winner
Scooby The Lady
