Saturday Greyhounds Tips: Romeo Empire to the rescue at Central Park

20:54 Central Park - Romeo Empire (T5) @ SP
Irish recruit having first run on these shores tonight, warmed up for this maiden trophy with two spins over 270m at Towcester, recording OK times. Prior to that was running against the best pups Ireland has to offer at Shelbourne Park. None of tonight's field could get anywhere near the times we recorded over the 480m trip there, so I see a very impressive opening display in this race.
How I see the race panning out: we showed exceptional early pace in Ireland and tonight's makeup looks ideal for us to pace up and clear these at the bend - there aren't many fast starters lined up against us in this, so I expect a trap to line victory.

18:53 Central Park - Breaghmore Paudy (T1) @ SP
This dog is a favourite of mine since moving from Ireland and boasts some excellent open race form and wins in the top grade against some fast dogs and has won for us a few times. We are all about the early speed and can quickly pace up on the rails - I can't see any of today’s field holding us if we do this.
What I see tonight is: break level, pace up and force our way through at the bend, Central Park sprints have a very long straight before the first bend and that will be key to our chances of using our early pace to pace up and go round, nothing back runs us tonight if we do that and lead.

19:51 Oxford - Fabulous Masie (T1) @ SP
Made an excellent transition from four to six bends and confirmed that promise with two good wins. The first of those wins was particularly impressive when finding all sorts of trouble before taking off and winning well. Showed true colours last time out when breaking better and not getting touched before going clear to route the field by nine lengths.
Today I see a similar display and drawn well inside of T2, again another one that has stepped up in trip and has an improving profile. Our draw tonight tips the scales for me, being inside your main rival could mean we squeeze round at the opening bend, if we go round second, I would still be confident we could pick T2 up. Confident selection.
