Greyhounds Tips - Saturday, January 11
T6 (Bluejig Baron) 19:27 Central Park @ SP
Returns to the track this evening after being badly crowded and knocked over in last appearance. However, he re-trialled last week and broke the sprint track record in a trial so that shows all is well. Drawn further out than ideal tonight but should get a great run with the make up of the other runners.
How I see tonight's race going, with T5 a confirmed middle runner who doesn't trap that smartly but does have early pace, we can trap better than that rival and lead up on the run up.
T4 is a railer on all evidence that I have seen so will be turning straight left out the traps and will bore to the rails causing inside crowding, T3/T2/T1 will all be jostling for the same ground on the run up and I can't see anything more than lots of inside crowding. To me our main danger is T1 but we will get a better early run and can clear the field at the bend, we do that, we win.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
T6 (Ballinabola Bill) 21:18 Oxford @ SP
More like it last time when destroying a good field here a week ago, tonight we are plotted up on the outside with the main danger drawn badly in T3. This all the world looks like on the initial run up there will be lots of crowding that we can take advantage of.
How I see this race panning out, T1 stepping back up in trip here from two bends and does have some course form but that is from a middle draw, all evidence suggests will be moving right out the traps and edging off a true line.
T2 is not that quick into stride so could be caught in the inside crowding. T3 will go off a shade of odds on and if she pings it could be game over but there are too many variables tonight that I can't see that happening.
T4 this is the key to the race for me, a sprinting railers stepping up in trip. I've watched trials the last few weeks and all I've written down is 'needs T1' so will definitely be edging across as soon as traps open right into T3's path. T5 has been on and off the card, did record an eye-catching win at Sheffield but looks up against it this evening after not having a recent run.
I see us trapping level from T6 pacing up and clearing these at the bend, no danger of any of these back running us if we do that. Very confident for the reasons I've stated above.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
