Saturday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line’s double from Towcester and Central Park

Trap2Line, our resident Greyhounds tipster, bids to go one better than his single winner on Friday with a couple of selections from Towcester and Central Park on Saturday.

18:51 Towcester - Lennies Desire (T6) @ SP

One of my antepost picks to go deep into this competition. Trainer moves his seed from rails to wide due to his antics in the maiden final over course and distance, but my eyes are still drawn to those trail times. If getting anywhere near them, he'll go a long way.

For tonight's first-round heat, T1 is most feared after his impressive win at Sunderland. Any dog that can break 29 seconds here must be taken seriously, however I think we are ultimately quicker.

T1 could be playing for a place. T2 has shown early pace type at Newcastle, but I suspect they'll struggle coming home. T3 really needs the rails and will turn left at trap rise and could crowd the inside runners. T4 stepped up to six bends recently so is a strong runner, especially at the business end, but I feel we will already be away and gone.

Lennies Desire is a confident choice in this one.

19:27 Central Park - Stonepark Hoffa (T1) @ SP

To me, Stonepark Hoffa is one of the quickest sprinters in the country when there is a long run to the bend. They've got a great draw to pace up and lead by the bend, which if we do my advice is to watch the clock, for there's a potential the track record is broken tonight.

T2 can't compete with the selection in my book. T3 only recently returned to the track after a layoff and I doubt they're quick enough to figure tonight. T4 will be moving off on the run up and could hamper the main danger in T5.

Speaking of, that's the track record holder after coming out under the bars last week. You have to respect that and there's no doubt they provide the main threat tonight. It was a freak break, though, and I'm hoping there won't be a repeat.

That rival aside, we're head and shoulders above this field in terms of form and I would be disappointed if we don't do the business.
