Monday Greyhounds Tips: Trap2Line casts his eye over Nottingham and Yarmouth

The one and only Trap2Line is here to kick off your week with his best bets for Monday May 5.

Nottinghan and Yarmouth are on the docket for today's selections - read his picks and the reasoning behind them below.

20:19 Nottingham - Eagles Respect (T1) @ SP

T2 was third last week in the heats. This slow-starter stayed on and grabbed the final place in the decider tonight. An outsider once again as drawn and can allow us on her inside to get first run. This will be key.

T3 is in exceptional form and won his heat after finding lots of trouble. That was his fourth win on the bounce. The trouble tonight is the draw being further out from the fence than is ideal and he could come together with T2 on the run up.

T4 is a very slow starter here and at Swindon. Did well to qualify last week from an unpromising position. We have superior Swindon form to this one and I can't see him beating us. T5 is a solid local who can pick up the pieces if we get held-up or crowded. You know what you get with this runner each time and she is consistent in each of her races.

T6 is a stayer over this trip, more of a six-bend type. Will be staying on strongly and if the race crowds could pick the pieces up. Back to my selection, I believe Eagles Respect can lead these or at worse turn second. Massive middle-pace to close and take it up and win going away. Confident choice.

18:31 Yarmouth - Skirk Bolger (T1) @ SP

T2 is a slow starter that we can quickly lead on the inside. A non-runner last time with a slight niggle, so a watching brief advised tonight. T3 is a stayer who is consistent and always performs with credit. Potentially dangerous if we don't come away.

T4 well supported in the grade. But a draw in the middle may mean that this runner edged-off as he is normally drawn wider in T5 and T6, but again could be dangerous with a quick start. T5 recent downgrade so has the back-form to trouble us. I feel this runner is our main danger, if we don't lead this will be the one that gives us most to think about.

T6 better in the lower grade than this one and will struggle to get into this race tonight and likely to go off the outsider. As for us, all I see is a big early pace display, clear away early and win well in an impressive time for the grade. Had we won last week we would've stepped into better class, compensation awaits. Max bet for me.
