T4 (Mallogs Miley) 18:37 Nottingham @ SP

A well-earned downgrade for this runner, and can hopefully finally land her first win in this country since arriving from Drumbo Park, Northern Ireland.

Even though she hasn't won yet she has shown a good level of form and trouble has cost her victory on numerous occasions when she was travelling like the winner.

Tonight's race make-up will suit and for once can turn closer to the lead. I feel you will see a different birch if this happens.

How I see this A3 race being run - T1 consistent if not spectacular form. In this grade, does pop up now and then but is woefully devoid of early pace and that in itself brings trouble having to come through the field. Tonight I can't see that happening.

T2 is another slow-to-go type, similar running style to T1 and that could mean these runners come together at the first bend. Times haven't been quick enough recently to lay up with these.

T3 on split times alone is the likely leader of the this race tonight, but that can draw us out as we are drawn right next to the pace. Overall form and times don't fill me with confidence for this runner, and we can pick this one up by the time we reach the third bend.

T5 is the main danger to us, but I feel we get first run at the leader and first run on our main rival. Both ourselves and this runner will be finishing quickly but that advantage of being out in front will help. If this runner in five did lead us at any point we would be struggling.

T6 is another early-paced type, went off favourite for a similar race last week and went round in front but dropped tamely away late on. Form hasn't been great hence the downgrade from A2 to A3, will be up there at the start, but there are stronger runners in this.

Back to us in T4 - we can at least turn third in this race and then it's game on as we set off after the leaders. I do think we are strong overall, and can come through by the third bend to win this race going away and record our first victory at Nottingham.

Confident choice.

Our runner this evening has some exceptional form over the course and distance and this evening has a good draw outside two slow-to-go types and we can control this race from the front once clearing the first bend. None of these runners can match us if we do that.

How I see this 500m Arc standard trophy being run - T1 returned from a lay-off with an odds-on A1 win in a decent time for the grade and showed no ill affects of being on the sidelines.

Of course, it will be fitter for that and also does have the rails to himself so expect improvement tonight. Will this threaten us? Of course, but I see this one battling with T2 for second place as I think we will be too far down the road.

T2 was off for a couple of months prior to running over six bends at Towcester, hadn't been here for awhile, but did have good form last time he lined up here. What concerns me is the lack of early pace and trapping ability to lay up with this field. I can see that bringing this runner trouble at the first bend tonight, so not for me.

T4 - Sheffield raider, came here last week for a look and a spin round the two-bend trip, final time was nothing special, yes he will come on for that but was a lowly grader runner over the 500m trip at Sheffield and may struggle class wise tonight. Not for me.

T5 - Doncaster raider may run well at a price as does have some quick times there over the standard trip. Trouble is has never been here for a look and normally this track is difficult to run first time out with runners swinging off at the bends.

T6 is again another Doncaster raider, did come here for a sprint trial a few months back and has kept his form well at his home track. Good draw on the outside but I don't think is up to the class of us in T3.

So back to us in T3 - we have an ideal launch pad to pace-up and clear the field at the bend, if we do that we will go really far clear and win this impressively.

Bet of the day for me.
